  1. Its a balsa model fully sheeted wings and fuselage the Nijhuis one !
  2. Has anyone experience in making Oracover a matt finish ? I am building a Sunderland, trying to keep the weight down so thinking of doing the white bits in oracover putting some pencil detail on then matt varnish ! I intend to flat the oracover and spray matt varnish anyone done it ? I figure it will be lighter than glass and resin. It is electric so no fuel to worry about ! Advice appreciated. Paul.
  3. Great stuff will give this a bash using some very light glass cloth thanks. Paul.
  4. I have made two floats for the Tony Nijhuis Sunderland from the interior of Kingspan ( pale yellow), stiffened with a central rib of balsa. How can I skin them to prepare them for spraying ? Any tips appreciated I am trying to keep them light. Thanks Paul.
  5. Todays project in the pouring rain ... thanks very much. Frank. Paul.
  6. Thanks Frank, I will give that a go, I think the difference is probably one spline, but if I move one arm its out the other way if you follow ! Best wishes paul.
  7. Thanks Frank, I am doing this, the problem is I have two elevator servos on separate channels where the movements on low rates need to be about 12 degrees and oh high rates about 60 degrees, so they have very large servo arms. The problem is the two down elevator movements don't quite match in the low rate, so I was hoping there was a way to adjust servo end points in both flight conditions to exactly match servo movements.
  8. Hopefully guys on here can answer another question ? sorry ! I have set up conditions, I only need two and used the dual rate switch to switch between conditions 1 and 2. I was then able to use different amounts of expo with mild and wild movements. However I find I need different servo end points as well, again my lack of understanding isn't letting me grasp this, can anyone tell me how this can be done ? Many thanks. Paul.
  9. Its a large petrol extra with 35kg hv servos, which will be energetically thrown around by my son so 7.4v it is I'm afraid !
  10. Damn now I need to buy lipos instead of the life I have just bought ! Thanks Manish.
  11. Thanks for the reply, my question is can I set it to 7.4v from 2 x life cells rather than lion ?
  12. This is probably a stupid question so I apologise in advance . I have just bought one of these and have read the manual but my question doesn't seem to be answered ! The output voltage is selectable 5.9 or 7.4v, if you are running two life batteries (6.6v) does it still supply 7.4v or does life mean you have to select 5.9v ? Thanks Oh for the days of a switch and four standard servos !!!!!
  13. I fly pinch usually three fingers and use cockpit sx12 with neck strap, but with Hi tec stick tops to get the extra length without the width of the Multiplex ones. Just FWIW.
  14. I don't know if this helps I buy a lot from here they seem to say 2 weeks https://www.lindinger.at/en/supplies-und-misc/clearance/multiplex-profi-tx-12-m-link-transmitter-only Paul.
  15. I agree Peter, I get embarrassed keep asking, but the instructions do leave a little to be desired in certain cases ! I go on the forum but you can bet the answer you need is invariably in German. Nice gear though !
  16. Great stuff many thanks this solves my problem without spending another fortune on powerbox SRS. Paul.
  17. A follow up sorry how do you bind both to the TX ?
  18. Thanks again Frank your help is invaluable the large model actually only needs 6 channels so I will buy two 7 channel rx now I know it can be done. Good wishes. Paul.
  19. Hi could someone explain how to use two multiplex DR M Link receivers presumably via a diversity cable in a large petrol model ? I am using a powerbox switch and two receiver packs. Any advice appreciated Thanks. Paul.
  20. Whilst not new to jets my experience is well over 15yrs old, I have owned Simjet and Jet Cat. My question is, there are a lot of other players in the marketplace now and I would welcome some honest feedback about them so I can make a decision as to what to buy. I am looking for something 60 or 70 size. Any feedback appreciated. Paul.
  21. Err yes I was quite surprised to get the copilot unit from them with nothing, not a word of instructions and when you do get a small book the instructions lag behind the firmware update ! Maybe all the german stuff on the net I can't read is what you need. I agree however nice quality stuff !! Edited By Paul Bromley on 26/09/2018 09:59:29
  22. Apologies if that should have been obvious to me !
  23. Thanks Guys you eventually led me to the answer ....... nowhere does it say this, but you have to press and hold the button on the master tx as though you were training someone then it binds instantly !
  24. Yes the Royal evo flashes binding (I have selected pupil M in its menu) and the the search on sx9 says searching but they won't bind I'll try again very adjacent thanks.
