  1. Posted by Bill_B on 23/12/2011 12:12:39: I've had the Feewing Mig 15 and currently have the Sky Angel mini F-16 and what I've found is that balancing the fans is a must as they are very poorly made and in the case of the F-16 there was a lot of fan rub on the ducting. I balanced them using a magnetic balancer and simply stuck pieces of self adhesive aluminium tape on the inside of the hub until they were in balance. The difference in sound and performance was noticeable so IMO it's a job well worth doing.
  2. The Frsky as sold now whether one-way or telemetry 2 way - uses decent frequency hopping ... unlike some more well known brands. With price and that designer has catered for both JR and Futaba based radio systems - is nothing short of amazing. It will take a lot to drag me of FrSky ...
  3. Just bringing this up to date !!   I use FrSky one-way module and 8ch Rx's .... along with others in our group of flyers over here in Latvia.   That's me - with a FlySky Vers 2 TX with FrSky Module / Rx's   Another with same.   Another with Hitec 9ch with FrSky 2-way module and Rx's   We fly amongst various sets incl. Spektrum, Futaba and NO-ONE has had any trouble at all. As another say - at price it's crazy !! To be honest taking the FlySky TX and FrSky gear together - the lot is cheaper than top-range Rx alone !
  4. Which MIG is this ? The 50mm EDF from the mini series ?   I have the T45 and it is one of the most fun machines I've flown. First thing to do is get rid of 20C packs and stick at least 25 or 30C pack in ... I fly on a 1800mAh 3S 25C pack.   Here's thrust data I derived from my vertical thrust rig with amps / watts as well :   Batt size = amps, watts by wattmeter, thrust by test rig 800mAh 3S 20C = 15 - 16amps, 160 - 170watts, 255 grams 1300mAh 3S 25C = 18amps, 220watts, 335 grams 1800mAh 3S 25C = 18amps, 220watts, 340 grams   Average weight (1300 pack) 490 grams   With 1800 pack and before I added wheels ... she was doppler'd at 85km/hr straight level and over 90km/hr in shallow dive.   Plan is to install a 1000mAh 4S 20C pack to up the thrust but taking care with amps. Next may be to swap out the plain 5 blade fan to a 6 blade.   Sorry if my model is different series ... couldn't find spec reference on original post ..
