Hi i have been offered a spektrum DX7 Tx but its mode 1 and i fly on mode 2 i use a DX6i i have been told it cannot be changed over, very easy any ideas

Thanks for the input mode 2 it is then, it seems the only advantage is maybe a smoother action when landing with mode 1 due to ailerons and elevator split, as i want to have a go at Heli at some point. as is then With hand launch with your right hand mode 2 has got to win every time and hmm safely is a the good word in my book, also sim flying seems to like mode 2 thanks again. john

Ok we are having a problem trying to work which is best mode 1 or mode 2, i fly mode 2 and i think its best, the old boys are trying to convert me to mode 1 can you help. Mind you i'm not changing now

Hi it looks like you have got a clone if it have a white sticker on the side saying Tear invalid and patent pending with the number FCCID: BRWDASRX11. also inside the casing the number HC809E with mine when you first the bind its ok, both units switch on ok then when you disconect the battery and trany Restart trany connect battery and i find the main receiver lights up but the satellite receiver will not switch on, no light. If you rebind it switches on i can only assume that only the main receiver is working only, This may work on a range test but at a distance with the plane at multiple angles can the receiver recover the signal, how can we check this. john

Hi Last week i bought a new Spektrum AR6200 from ebay Kent seller and after reading the recent thread on fake receivers i checked it has a white sticker on the sides saying Tear invalid and on the back its got. Patent pending Made in China in white writing on a black background. i also noted the there was no neg for pos sign on the end of input sockets. i shot out to the garage to test it to my dismay the unit binded ok then when you cut power to receiver then repowered the unit the satellite receiver would not power up. guess its a fake £24.90 hmm i noted three more of these units have been sold. john

Hi i have got a Pilatus PC9 Porter and i fitting a Electic motor setup flying weight is 6.2 lbs to 7.1 lbs and i want to fit a three blade prop can some one check and help with the setup as follows. I think this will work but need help before ordering. The plan shows a Emax 4020/08 rpm/v520 motor fitted fine so a100amp esc i think is ok than 2 no 3.300 3s lipo batterys linked now a three bladed prop do you think maybe a 12x8 Thanks John

Hi Moderator thanks for the mail, the blades broke of clean about 12mm up the blade from the mounting hole bolt the motor is bolted down tight with no movement, the plane was at full power climbing out there was a number of bangs as the remaining prop with out of balance i guess. The break was at a major stess point i would say or maybe a connection esc to motor ? I have fitted a new 40a esc and new cam 8x6 folding prop checked all normal things now ready to go but no cause of why the props failed was it prop failure or esc and why did the esc fail after the prop john

Hi i had to props fail on my Sparrowhawk plane and now the esc as also failed the motor is ppo3530 with a 45a esc turning a 9x6 folding prop, after some 100 flights to date. launch plane and some 20ft out bang one folding prop broke off Changed the folding prop for a new 9x6 set all tested good two more flights ok, then 15 ft out bang the second folding prop broke one side clean off hmm a good make of prop was used, i checked and found the esc was dead not over heated and looked in good order, tried a new esc the motor was ok seemed in working order. is it posible for the esc to jam the motor causing the prop to break John note. my batterys are 2.200    25c 3s Edited By John Eves on 17/04/2012 10:53:57
