  1. I am having a night mare trying to find a way of connecting either my SkySport4 or 6, and my T6EXA to Reflex. All I get is switch on Tx, followed by hardware fault no tx detected. I've tried tx on / off, crystal in / out, different ports, all usb peripherals removed, different leads, all connected up before initialising reflex, connecting up after initialising Reflex. Does anyone have another idea, or is my dongle knacked?
  2. Hi Andy, please don't get me wrong, I am not doubting your credentials. I am looking at this from my perspective of someone looking to buy their first delta. I doubt I am ready for 150 - 200mph yet! But that said I want to try the fly one first, then perhaps once I've got the hang of it maybe..... :)
  3. ... CNC packs, cowls and canopies etc direct from the website? If not, maybe it would be an idea. How about a plans service for past magazine plans and packs etc? Or maybe you can and I'm being dull... whichever.
  4. Well there's the four topics in my original post. Other stuff? Well 1. Lipos - a back to basics from voltages, terminology, charge rates, discharge rates. Simple stuff like measuring current draw and using wattmeters and basic multimeters etc. 2. Brushless motors - Terminology, matching with Lipos and ESCs, size comparison to i/c? Installation in models. 3. ESCs - Programming, matching to motors and batteries. Use of programme cards. 4. Four Strokes - Setting up, maintainace and adjustment... real noddy stuff. 5. Intro to tuned pipes - different types of tuning e.g. rpm and noise etc, installation and matching to engines. 5. Retracts - installing mechanicals. Installing pneumatics. Control of said system. Retract servos types and differences, rate controllers, setting up to a tx channel when building. There's a few to be going on with. I appreciate some of these are covered in general terms in product reviews, but how about a month by month lesson package? But keep it simple and pertinant to the beginner in these areas.
  5. Either really. I'm not sure there's enough to make a 2 parter, I just wonder how it would have flown OOB as that's certainly how I would try it first being new to deltas.
  6. There are loads of things out there that experienced modellers use all the time, stuff like Chemiwood, lithoplate, Poly C, Aluclad etc. The list goes on. So how about a featured magazine item on what it is, how to use it and where to get it? What other stuff would you all like to see? What do you use that maybe we should know about?
  7. I haven't done a lot of building as yet, but want to build a nitro powered Mosquito as per the Traplet plans. So for me it would have to be a twin. The hornet would be brilliant, although a Mosquito would be better.
  8. Hi. I recently read the review of the YT Mach Racer. And whilst it seemed that it was well received by experienced fliers, I felt that as someone looking to buy their first delta it missed the point. I would have liked to see the kit reviewed out of the box. That is; built as the maker intended, then flown as such. Any problems encountered in the build and when flown, e.g. flutter etc and what you did about it. After this, modify and change the model for more fun and give advice accordingly by all means. Otherwise great mag, but remember we aren't all absolute novices or experts. Some are in betweens. Cheers, Shaun
