  1. OK sounds like I need to get the small drills out! I don't think the crease is bad enough to need filling. Thanks for all your words of wisdom!
  2. I cart wheeled my RCRCM Sunbird and have damaged the wing tip. It is hardly noticeable to look at (slight crease on top, looks perfect underneath) I would have put a photo on but there is nothing to see! It is however very weak and I imagine if takes another knock will damage quite badly. Anyone had similar damage? What is the best way of repairing?
  3. Thanks for your reply Bill, I agree the Tangent models do look very elegant and other have told me about the quality of other models from Tangent. But does it really cost double to cover a plane though, I'd be happy to have a go myself but I bet the wing tips are a pig! Do the 3001's fly in a wide range of wind speed? Christian
  4. How do models like the Tangent Alpina 2501/3001 stack up against similarly priced moldies? They seem very expensive for foam veneered! Or is the quality offered that high? I've seen the 3001 at some good prices over on the continent compared to Gliders UK (Continent, ARC - £270 delivered as opposed to Gliders UK, ARF - £525) Christian
  5. Is it essential to have a dedicated glider specific programming mode for the more advanced gliders or will the Sailplane setup by Spektrum suffice?   Would it be possible for Spektrum to add this feature at a later date through the SD firmware upgrade slot? @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);Edited By David Ashby - RCME Admin on 31/10/2011 07:59:59
  6. Is there much difference between them?@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  7. I'm sure the ST Blaze and Blizzard are excellent but they just don't set my heart on fire... but then again at around £80.   The Speedo at £55 looks brilliant.   What do people think about a Middle Phase or Phase 6 Sport? Any good? @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  8. Hi   I'm looking for a bit of advice please. I've had a Wild Thing for 12 months or so and think it is time I moved on to something else. I want something that looks more like a plane than a wing, with ailerons, preferably tough (still working on those landings) and small enough to keep in my car boot (Passat). Oh, and I want a change from EPP!   Cheers   Christian @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  9. Hello everyone!   I've been slope soaring for around 12 months now with a Wild Thing which I bought because of some of the posts that I'd read on here! Good choice it was too! Lovin' every second of it!   Now it is time to choose something else so I'll now move on to the Gliders and Gliding section!   See ya   Christian @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
