  1. i really carnt figure this one out .im using a Horus x10s running fros. Last night I was setting up a new model and I’ve lost sounds on start up bind RSSI throttle etc. On models already installed I’ve got custom sounds still.Everthing that should be ticked seems to be. This has really got me puzzled
  2. its time to tackle a winter build .i m totally fed up with artfs and now the kids have grown up ive more time on my hands. so whats out there. i quite fancied a 1/3 scale balsa usa fokker dr1 or a 1/4 scale neiuport 17 but both are out of stock. the db pup looks a possibility so dose the balsa usa d8 im trying to avoid retracts and glassing. 3. Well x12s eu model with neck strap and case uk plug ordered from hk uk warehouse for £150 less than than t9. Done in on credit card so any problems I can use section 75. As for previous comments about wanting something shiny and new that’s simply not the case I’ve been a happy hitec user for a good few years but hitec ar nt keeping up with my modelling needs with number of channels and that you car nt run dual receivers which I’d be happier doing in some models. I’m sure I will still be using hitec in some models for some time to come until I’m totally happy with the x12s thanks all for input
  4. The one thing I’m trying to get my head round is firmware versions and receiver compatibility. Been looking at various websites and t9 is about £500 where as hobbyking is £350 for what seems to be the same radio. It says eu version with Uk plug now is this the same radio as t9 sell in respect to firmware and comparable receivers
  5. Most of my models are 20 to 45 cc Petrol and I prefer to use dual batteries which takes up one of the 9 channels unless I use a y lead. Add 2 elevator and a rudder servo choke throttle and engine kill . Ailerons preferably 2 channels retracts and flaps and you soon don’t have enough channels. Hence I’m looking for an alternative to hitec which has been faultless but has nt kept up with my needs unfortunately.
  6. If speccy is all that’s left think I ll take up knitting Edited By geoff dales on 25/01/2018 09:41:46
  7. I had an early dx7 as did others in the club and most had issues . There is now only 2 members out of 90i can think of now using spectrum.
  8. Came from spectrum dx7 certainly not going back there. Looked at multiplex it dose nothing for me like Jeti but like Futaba to expensive. Hitec certainly have done themselves no favours with this one
  9. I did look at the Futaba 16 but the price is prohibitive so is the price of the receivers . Am I right in thinking here that I can pop a module in the back of the Horus and use my hitec receivers until I replace them all.
  10. After having that hitec will not be releasing the 16 channel radio that was under development I’m seriously thinking of a change of brand. On some models I could certainly do with more channels to make life easier but it now won’t be happening. Thinking of trying the dark side FrSky Horus 10 or 12 thoughts and experiences please
  11. Even a firmware update to 12 or 14 channels for the a9 would be great and a receiver to match
  12. Been waiting for a long time for a new high end hitec tx because as much as the a9 is a great bit of kit it dosnt have enough channels . Looks like I will have to change elegance and buy a 16sz Edited By geoff dales on 29/12/2017 22:25:23
  13. I changed from an insignia estate last year to a Honda CR-V and am impressed with the crv . I went for the petrol because I only do about 8k a year and the figures did not add up for a diesel on that mileage. On a run I'm getting 40 mpg . I love the high up seating position and the leg room plus the fact you don't have to haul yourself out of a low down seat after a couple of hours driving. Floor space is pretty good and easily accommodates an acrowot xl and a large seagull fw190 with room for flight box cases etc
  14. its plenty of powerand very plesant to fly. slows up easily and lands easily
  15. i ve just put one of these together with an sc46 fitted. As everyone else i had to add weight on the front even to acheive the most rearward c of g. Today i ve been playing with the c of g and got it back to 100mm which feels just about right. and improves handling no end. My nose weight is now down to about 5oz instead of the origonal 8 i had
