phil the hornet could keep all happy ic and electric. the existing plan rm275 scaled up tp 60/65 inch for a pair of 25/32 two stroke or 30 fs and alternate nacelles for 600 size electric sounds good. it would also take retracts that ar nt to complicated going straight back and up into the nacelles -

avro504 plan rc 1420 dh chipmunk plan rm276 dh hornet plan rm275 nieuport 17 plan rsq1641 the hornet would make a great feature being small and dare i say it a twin .an area of modelling that most modellers would love to try and dont know where to start. also flying of multi engine aircraft has nt been covered anywhere for years -

steady on steve . yes you are right alot of people don t have the time to build but alot also do. i fly a mixture of artf plan built and kit built models. its what i fancy building at the time. at the moment im building a 1/4 scale super cub from plan come april/ may when the weather is better it will be an artf if i fancy a new model.the trouble with artfs is they build into what it says the quality of nearly all is very good and they all fly well gets a bit boring reveiw after reveiw

mr editor what about running a scale article over 3 or 4 months like was done with the fly baby but include the plan in parts to to run alongside the article. if its a success keep it going. im sure there are plenty of plans in the scale range that this could be done with.

thanks john i and others i fly with mourne the passing of such a mag. personally i think all magazines were better in the 80 s before ARTF ery become popular. sorry ed nothing personal i guess im in the ilk of bertie barnstormer a trad british modeller

the UK seems to be lacking a good scale mag at the moment . since traplet stopped theirs there is nt one thats worth reading. The offering from AMI being terrible. I don t know how others feel or weather builders are a minority or not but it would be great to see something dedicated to scale consentrating on plans and kits and not little electric toys

i know its early days yet but is the forum going to offer the poster the option to post images in a topic .IMO pretty esential really if someone does some build photo s or needs a photo to give advice. again early days but the site operation is nt that user freindly and dos nt give the user any options to fonts highlighted etc that the other UK forums do or even the dreaded smiley or user signature is nt an option

what really p s me orf is unsolicited sales phone calls when you ve just sat down to have your tea. mind it can be fun stringing them along for twenty minutes when they re trying to sell you a conservatory then tell them you live on the 15 th floor of a block of flats
