  3. Thanks for your reply. I cannot solder a cable back on as it has been cut off flush with the front coil. I will quote what it says in the manual supplied by toniclark.com about this ...... "It is very dangerous to fit a so called engine kill switch and should be avoided when possible" I may fit an easy start system if starting is a problem, has anyone had any dealings with the easy start system? **LINK** Thanks
  4. Hi, Thanks for your answer Chris, i guessed thats how you stop them but i thought i would ask just in case i was missing something. Cheers Ian
  5. Hi All, I have just purchased a Zenoah SG62SL engine, the question i have to ask is ... is there any other way of stopping the engine other than using the throttle servo on throttle cut or the choke servo to choke it , as this engine is fitted with a self generating ignition system and there no way to switch the ignition off and cut the engine out via a switch (the black cut out cable from the front ignition coil is cut off at the factory as this is suppose to cause probs with the radio system) Thanks
  6. Hi There, I am about to get on with my P-47 build, I was thinking about a DLE 55RA or a DLE 61 or even a DLE 60 Twin to power this. What are your thoughts? Thanks Ian
  7. I have used TJD Models in the past and found them okay. Last week i phoned about a Thunderbolt P-47 kit that was shown to be in stock on there website,it was out of stock the guy took my number and said i will get back to me but he never did. I also emailed them to ask the stock availability on a Zenoah engine same again no reply. I even visited there shop to be greeted by the most unfriendly guy that ive ever met. I certainly will not be recommending TJD Models to anyone or bothering with them again.
  8. Hi, I am scatch building a 3 channel Keil Kraft Super 60 Can some one please tell me the most suitable size engine to use 2 stroke or 4 stroke? Thanks Ian @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  9. Hi,   New member here to this site   Can someone please tell me whether it is best to seal the balsa fuselage and wing structure with sanding sealer before putting on iron on covering?   On a previous model i put balsaloc on the contact surfaces before covering but being a water based adhesive it tends to raise the grain and shows through the covering.Any suggestions would be very grateful.
