  1. Pete, I'm running win 8.1 and it was a full upgrade to Win 10. I cancelled it. It was much more than a simple upgrade to an existing OS.

I use my PC for app development running database, web & application servers, I can't afford to have a new operating system, that's not been tested on a VM first. Naughty.

If you just use your PC for email & web browsing then Win 10 is a great free upgrade.

  2. There is a dodge I have used in the past, when I have drilled the hole in the wrong place.

what happened was the hole got too big after several attempts to get it right, what I ended up doing was to use a low expanding polyurethane (Gorilla) glue, with a small amount in the hole just clamp everything in the correct place, until dry.

It worked so well, I deliberately do it now for trickier installations. Only works with Hinge Points though.

  3. Hi Tim

All stock DJI bits and S-bus connection, with a Fry Sky TFR 8 SB Rx

Have noticed something strange, looks like its momentarily going into failsafe.

If I have it connected to the MAC (can't install drivers on PC) the monitor showing the mode jumps to failsafe and the LED on the RX flashed red.

So doesn't look like a Naza issue.

  4. Following on from a previous thread from last year, I have committed and bought a DJI F450 with Naza V2 controller from quadcoptors.co.uk.

First problem I had was I couldn't install the Windows drivers, and was told by their support guy to try a MAC. Fortunately I was able to do this, got everything connected up, and have had a few successful flights.

    But....

What is happening is the throttle blips, only for a fraction of a second on all four motors, and the quad drops a few inches.

I have asked the support guy again but the only info he gave me was the Gains need adjusting.

I have asked if there are any std setups I could have to program mine with, but have not heard back (I have asked twice).

Does anyone have one of these with a working setup they can share? or any other reason why the motors blip.

  5. Worcester Model Aero Club are looking for new members. Existing pilots or beginners are welcome.

Like (I believe) many clubs at this time, we've had a small reduction in numbers, probably due to the negative effect of the poor summers lately and the financial climate, meaning that we can accommodate some new members.

We have two sites one near Rushwick and the other near Hanbury, some flying restrictions apply, full details are on the website.

We fly fixed wing as well as some rotary aircraft, in a friendly atmosphere, across our two sites, but we aren't big on helis although a few members do fly them so if they are your primary interest I'm afraid we may not really be the club for you.

The subs run from Jan 1st to Dec 31st each year and are £67 for membership plus the £33 BMFA fees. (We are an affiliated club so you have to be a member of the BMFA).

    Our website is www.worcestermodelaeroclub.co.uk

If you're interested email or PM me with any questions.
