  1. keep em coming we'll soon be at 558,000 ha ha ha
  2. I dont know if anyone is aware but it is Vulcan XH558's 50th birthday this year and the Vulcan Operating Company are trying to get as many people as possible to sign a special birthday card, hopefully 558,000. If you go to their site at   www.vulantothesky.org   there is a link to the page where you can sign and leave a message.  Earlier this year it was getting doubtful as to whether XH558 would ever fly again due to finances until a very very generous benefactor gave over £440,000 to help keep her flying through the coming season. I hope lots of you will sign the card.   Thanks.
  3. Vulcan xh558 did her first public display at the Waddington Air Show on Saturday  5 July .Didnt fly on the Sunday because of a technical problem. She only just made it as the caa certificate was only granted on the Thursday and the public display license on the Friday so cut it very very fine. Thought she wasnt going to fly Saturday as the heavens opened in the morning and didnt stop while about 1.30.The weather gods must have been looking down because the clouds broke to leave clear blue skies. The sight and sound was unbelievable. My wife burst into tears.Everything stopped.Got some good video.  AWESOME.
  4. I wholeheartedly agree with that. The airtattoo is on the 12-13 July but she is due to attend the Waddington Air show on the 5-6 July and even that date might not be the first.Check the VTOS website for more details.
  5. Sorry Russ, Vulcan xh558 first flight after restoration on the 18 October last year and are hoping to start displaying at the beginning of June this year
  6. could the manufacturers not put out kits as well as the ready made models so give us the choice of wether to build or not.surely this would hit middle ground between those who like to build and those who just want to fly.never know they might increase thier sales!.
  7. Was he a midget.Looking at Steve Carrs 50% Edge on page 42 of this months mag he most likely would fit inside.
  8. we've been hearing for a number of years about artf models.what i want to know is who builds these models.are they produced on a production line or are they individually built by people sat at building boards which must be extremely labour intensive to say the least.does anybody know?.
