  1. hi all now that the summer is drawing closer and my exams have finished for this year i thought i would build somthing big for those long summer days (all of the 3 we get! ) but as this thought was going on in my head a C-130 passed over my house very very low, so because of this i have decided i want to build one of my own. i would prefer it to be a kit with the CNC parts in the kit, but if there are no kits avaliable plans would do. so if anyone knows were to get a kit or plans from, or even has one please let me know. one last thing i would prefer it to be electric so that i can fly it long into the night. regards chris
  2. hi all i have now been flying for some time now and am looking to buy something reidiculous that will burn off most models at my club. i really like the look of EDF models, watching the habus at my club and realising that the not only look good but go like stink. any suggestins for a rediculous quick EDF model regards chris
  3. i was a tragic accident, but the poilet died doing what he loved. i also read somewere that the model was made in memory of the real thing.

  6. sorry for the late reply patmc, i have been having to do alot of revising and because of this anything to do with planes has taked a backfoot :,( the wing needs strenthing because when i was slope soring it, i did a few low passes because the wind and lift was absulty perfect, but half way through one of the turns it stalled and smashed into the ground with a big bang. the fuselarge is fine, but the 3 peice wing (center and two wing tips) is now in about 5 peiecs, lucaly they are in big peaces and will probable be a easy fix. another thing i need to add would be what glue to use on the foam wing, beauce on other foam models i have used apoxy resin and it has melted the foam.
  7. hi all i am looking to convert my old (and broken) glider into a motor glider as i carnt be bothered with the bungee laching as only a few times at the club is the wind in the right direction to lanch. so, the model in question weighs 1.6kg and has a wing span of about 2.9m. another thing that would be helpful to know would be how to strenthen a foam wing, i have thought of putting carbon sparts in it, but i don't know if this will do the job.
  8. Posted by Paul Marsh on 06/05/2012 18:40:49: inadvertantly pressed the "Bind/Trainer" on the TX whilst switching on, if only a second will lose it's bind. i had been using the plane and remote for ding some training and had the trainer switch, pressed up for most of the flight, but as so as i let go i had control no problem.
  9. not that i know of, but id an old listening station close to the feild. also at the time there were alot of real planes flying over head. there is also a area of our feild that is famous for interfeing with 35 meg   Edited By chris edwards 3 on 07/05/2012 17:51:49
  10. thanks for the help on this matter, but at the club i fly at it was not just my radio that was having problems a few other people were having problems with there remote( some so bad the plane was lost) and some one said that there might have been some interference in the area some where. also after talking to othere club member they said that it has also happend to them before.
  11. hi all have been flying today, untill after about 1 hour i went to turn the plane on and fire her up, but i had no responce from the surfaces at all, after taking the wing off and looking at the reciver (AR6210), and there were no llights on it even thogh the battery fill had plenty of power. After much head scrating we manedged to re bind the reciver to the transmitter and every thing was fine after this. i would like to know how this would have happened and how i can avoid it happening again.
  12. thank for the advice on the glue, one thing that does puzzel me is that on the glue tubes it says a spesific drying/setting time, but when ever i use them it always takes about 5 times as long for it to set. would the fact that i am working in a freezing cold garage have somting to do with the drying/setting times of the glue?   i also need to to some reparing on a glider with a foam wing, so could you advise me on what glue to use to do this job   Edited By chris edwards 3 on 19/04/2012 20:24:00
