  1. hi everyone over the last school year i have not really got any flying in and now with AS exams coming up i have next to no time for flying so with a heavy heart and a tear in my eye i am having to call it a day with the flying its been great talking to everyone on the forum, getting tips off people and seeing how people responded to my first traditional build. i have no doubt i will be back in the hobby one day but for the foreseeable future i cant see as i will be for a long time. Chris (I'm the one with the fuzzy hair)
  2. i know you have been busy lately and don't want to seem rood or impatient but any updates on the postage situation?
  3. she's looking really good tony, a damm sight better than went i had her!!!! any progress on the me109? Edited By chris edwards 3 on 13/12/2013 16:59:00
  4. lets start with the moments i most like to forget. burning out my beloved fox jet on its first flight, flat spinning my brothers extra into the floor and my AMX edf locking out and going straight into the floor at over 100mph and of course getting a really nice dose of sunburn on my shoulders on time in the summer, boy did that sting when i got home!!!   now onto the high points and its hard to say which my favorite moment has been because iv had so many, i mean i have the choice from actually flying my first ever scratch build, entering and exiting a flat spin succsefuly, winning one of our clubs fun flys, getting my mustang back into the air, doing a limbo challenge with my brother (i beat him!!), and spending a summer evening with my dad and brother flying his glider he built when he was 16. however the moment that sticks out the most for me has to be flying in the snow, despite my broken collar bone at the time (sledding can be supringly dangerous!!!!) it was absolute brilliant fun and me and my brother had some of our best days flying when its snowed because it was so so much fun.   now to the future next yeah i hope to get my 2.2m Mick reeves hurricane in the air, break the skis out again if it snows and at some point i would like to have a go with the old depron foam. 5. a big thank you to everyone who has filled in this questionnaire, he has had over 100 responses to it so is now in the design process of his project,
  6. if you go down the mass build line why not make a pushy cat with a glow pusher. carnt see that to many people will do that.
  7. Posted by Tony Bennett on 29/10/2013 16:50:33: not got much done today. sorry lads. finished the shear webbing on wing panel two. need to cut the ply braces tomorrow so i can join the two halves together. then maybe i will take a look at sheeting and finishing the wings off. That me109 wing looks familiar
  8. if you have any foam boards left I would like one please. iv got a edf unit that would go on it perfectly. would it be posable to post it ( if any are left) as I struggle to get to most of the shows Edited By chris edwards 3 on 29/10/2013 21:43:16
  9. if im getting this right, you send me some foam, I build something with it and see what happens when its let lose in the air?
  10. ok cheers for that, the bucc does make a great model. the model I have in my head that I am thinking of building is a Rockwell b-1b. im torn between a pusher prop (cheaper and easier) or 4 EDF units (the sound and I love edf's). the edf units I have been looking at with 4 of them I should get about 3.5kg of static thrust, but I need 4 esc's and will need some huge huge lipos to power it. on the flip side the pusher would make life much easer and a dam sight cheaper. which would you recommend?
  11. i love those videos of the buccaneer. I am in the process of thinking about build a similar sized foam model at some point in the near future, and from the video it sounds like you are on full throttle most of the time, is that because the model is under powered or you just had that flat out feeling?
  12. thank you to everyone so far who has completed this. i will have a word with him and see when he has completed it if i can upload so pics for you all to see.
