    It's both Debris and Damage.

Surprise me... Was it in fact the case that you were allowed to be there?

Yes, We had permission from not long after the war to fly model aircraft on the site.  ALSO we had "Permission of lawful use" granted by the local council solicitors.

  2. On the same theme, But slightly larger, My old flying field was playing fields where we had flown for many years and at each of three entry points there were signs saying NO HORSE RIDING, Guess what we got , young ladies( i use the word lightly) were wont to come galloping across from the blind side whilst on landing approach. When it was pointed out they shouldn´t be there they usually replied that we shouldn´t either.

  3. The trip was for other reasons, BUT with the cost of balsa over here and the cost of postage it would have been foolish not to take advantage of having all the storage space in my motorhome and carry it for free. I should point out that my nearest shop is a full day round trip.

  4. Hi guys, I have just purchased my first 2.4 radio set after years of 35mg. Unfortunately i forgot to specify mode 2. So I ended up with a mode 1 set. It is a Futaba T6k, I have switched the ratchet before but is there any electronics involved?

  5. Matt, I dont think you are wrong. When Woodvale was going ( and i mean at Woodvale) the flying was dominated by the big names and the kit manufacturers had been more or less banned from flying. I am unable to get to what shows still exist due to living abroad but still like to keep up to date.

  6. Several years ago we ran a hotel and used to get many of these calls, usually offering alternative telecoms services. On one morning we must have received five calls during room servicing and i hadn´t taken the cordless phone with me( silly i know) I had reached breaking point and on this occasion i told the caller where to go and hung up. Before i could get back upstairs the phone rang again and this chap started telling me what various members of my family could do, I let him ramble on for a while and then said "I hope this is being recorded for training purposes" and hung up. I had no more calls from India.

  7. My late mother got one of these calls. She managed to keep him going for a good fifteen minutes before advising him she had found the problem. When asked by the foreign "gentleman" what the problem was she said "I dont have a computer" The resulting sound was like he was trying to put the receiver through the base unit.

  8. Hi Graham, Sorry to take so long answering as i have only just found your response. If you can scan the bits with the formers and send them i would be very grateful.

Wingspan is different on both wings, 56.5 and 58 inches.  Last model was written off while low flying at about 3ft( INVERTED) engine coughed and although i stuffed in a handful of down i didn´t get enough height to roll to upright. This was on tarmac. PS can you give the overall length please. Steve.
