  1. thanks to you all for taking the time to reply, it would appear that the favoured method is to not use any up,down or side thrust at all so that is what I will stick to,with a little up elevator.
  2. when fitting an electric motor or an edf in pusher mode at the rear of a model should the motor be fixed horizontally or the rear of the motor a few degrees up or down, I am doing a few repairs to a couple of old flying wings and unsure about thrust lines on them.thanking you in advance.
  3. thanks for the directions I m afraid Idont aririve at our friends until sunday afternoon I plan to fly sometime during the week, weather permitting. Colin
  4. Hi all, I am visiting friends in north wales next week and as I have on old electric glider Ithought it would be a good oppurtunity to try my hand at gliding which I have never done before. looking on google earth I see there are two roads on the Orme so I wonder if someone could tell me the best place for me to try flying and also are there any local rules or regulations I should be aware of. thanks Colin

  9. Hi All,could anyone tell me the best way to determine the c of g on a flying wing, I have just converted a delta wing from an old broken plane but when hand launching it curves in an arc and comes down nose first, I tried a smaller battery but same problem even with full up elevator, I also wondered if I should raise the rear of the motor slightly to push the nose up. thanks.
  10. Im cutting the foam that held an artf in a box to make a foamy .
  11. thamks all things are a bit clearer now.
  12. Hi, could someone please explain to me the difference between single and dual conversion receivers and crystals on 35 mhz. I have both and was wondering if they are interchangable.thank you.

  14. sorry about the admin problem Steve, Im not to good on computers. Right , the fuel is standard 10%. when running on the ground it starts fine, I ran it flat out and adjusted the needle clockwise to get max revs from it, the throttle response was then fine and smooth, take off was normal at full revs she climbed to around 25ft Ireduced throttle to 2/3rds and it died immediately, this happened twice.Iwill try your tip Jim.
