  1. Hi guys! Anyone been there? I volounteered in Park and View for 6 days and have to say, that it was just the best holliday in my life. Terrifying heat, milions of small insects, long hours of work, but the greatest spirit possible. I also had a pleasure to attend to Hangar Party, meet fighter pilots, Breitling Wingwalkers (they are hot!! ), take some pics etc. Some pics here Me and the Dambusters My kids in fornt of smiling Typhoon In front of Mirage 2000 with my gal With its pilot RNAF Falcon and its pilot With Freya Paterson With XH558 engine technician. Good news, but unconfirmed yet - he told me she will fly much longer than 2015!! With Polish pilots and technicians The Royal Jordanian Falcons And my great team on Tuesday, 16.07 I will go back next year for sure. Cheers Tom

  4. Reno Racer You have some good points here. I didn't think of surplus stock this way... Last time I saw 1st grade hand selected on ebay for 22 posted. However, I did some more research and not too sure anymore. Olly I checked some assault boots, but comments on them are very mixed. I remember a pair of typical "skinhead boots" from Poland. They were great, I had them nearly four years, but during breaking in my feet were bleeding baldy. I will look for boots some more, if nothing takes my fancy, will get a pair of Karimor's mountain boots. Not waterproof, but in general very comfortable. Cheers Tom
  5. Plummet - thanks for info, will bear that in mind. My problem is that my feet are not too wide, so sometimes I have to spend some time before I find a pair that suits me.
  6. Thanks a lot for posts gents. Now I know what I should look for. I had a look onto links/brands and think of Hi Tecs or Bates. Boots from Merrel seem to be very good choice, but in fact a little bit too pricey. I have no idea on the car park I'm gonna work at, but hope that weather will be nice anyway - this will be my first airshow ever... Thing that concerns me a little is quite mixed feedback on them, but from other side, excluding long time of wearing for few days, I'm not gonna do anthing more extreme than "jump to the nearest shop without safety rope". If Phill's wife could wear them for few years, then they must be ok . Once more thanks. Regards Tom
  7. Hi all. I am looking for proper pair of boots and need some help. I have found some intresting stuff on Fleabay, but would like to see what can you tell me about it. Cordura Boots I want something militry-like, as in my opinion this is the best stuff. Worth mentioning is the fact that I'm not gonna use them for any games, paintball ect. I have the privilege to be the volounteer at RIAT (Park and view team), will be there for 8 days and shifts are long, so good boots are must have. Any thoughts? Cheers Tom Note to mods - I know how to insert links. My phone just does not let me do it. Sorry. Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 08/06/2013 08:31:35
  8. Looks good Bob! Can anyone tell me, what is the difference in flying ie Sharky and tailless model?
  9. Kev Thanks for link. Mini stick looks very intresting and I shall follow your thread. Its weight is awfully low - my Sharky weights much more. Golden Bee on 10% makes it nice and slow flyer. Sometimes even too slow as I have to fly it few (2,3?) meters over the ground to gain sufficient airspeed and altitude. Piers Thanks for another suggestion. Sounds very intresting. I will look for the plan as soon as I have access to my PC. I also have few scale-ish plans and most probably will use them. By the way, if anybody knows where I could get plan of Spitfire MK IX for Cox, I'd be grateful for info.
  10. Nobody should forget the most basic of basics - safety. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiPQD3SASPY Sorry for that link, but somebody had to remind this. Note to mods - yes, I know how to add yt links, but my phone doesn't let me do that....
  11. My partner just said that it would be perfect to make some acrylic nail tips...
  12. You don't have to keep max power at all times. Of course it will drain battery much faster. When flying my PZ Spitfire, to hand launch model I used mostly half throttle. Also the time from one battery varied even 3 minutes when it was flown reasonably. In fact, the only model I flew on full power is Cox- powered Sharkface...
  13. 26 this year... but sometimes I feel at least three times older...
  14. Well, I know that it might be old, noisy etc... But what can I do, I just like it. As I said before, IC is much better to me and these little engines are intresting as hell.
  15. Stepen The point is as same as it was 20,30,40 years ago - to have fun. I do prefer IC, even if it's small, not really powerful and noisy.
  16. No kc, the link was to the one for 5.50 + 3.00 PP. On my computer it works as it should.... 29 quid for old, leaking OS... no way. Someone was really desperated. And Your comment about electric motors made my day - thanks.   Dave well, at least for selling party this is good thing. And I understand their point - more expensive = much better   Edit: John well, I'll remember that. It was good day anyway, as I won two engines for few pounds. Testor and one Cox. Another cox is on its way. I also have prepared some plans on pen drive (to be printed this week) and shopping list (wood and stuff). Edited By Major on 17/03/2013 18:06:06
  17. Just to clarify - I didn't mean to be very serious/show anger(???) or anything like this. It's about that stupid feeling, that maybe one or two seconds took it away
  18. ... and You want to sell the needle valve from it??
  19. No kc, this one has been sold for much under the tenner. If it would be 29 pounds, I wouldn't look at it - for .40FS I paid 50...
  20. Wow, that looks awesome! And the price is very tempting, but I guess it was a lot of money back then...
  21. That's some crazy stuff... I never tried C/L flying but again - some videos will do for me in this case.
  22. Nice one! Thanks IanN!
  23. Very sad information. I don't know You personally, but I hope that verything will be fine. Best wishes from me! Tom
  24. Thanks for advice John! Well, it got me by surprise. Good lesson for the future. Cheers Tom
  25. Hi all. I recently purchased Little McCoy and would like to know some more about it. I've seen some YT videos and they seem to be Cox-like - small but powerfull. I also read some forum topics on RC Groups and people there say not really good things. Does anyboddy have any personal experience with these engines? Any tips? Here are the photos of it - taken from the listing. I hope that owner will not get mad because I used them. Cheers Tom
