    Justin Have been out flying so excuse delay in response. i had my engine originally mounted upright and like you did not like look of it and my model got covered in oil residue. i purchased second cowl and mounted engine on its side hich looks better and still flies brilliantly. I considered inverting but was put off by numerous stories of fuel syphon problems and engine lock so opted for this. i know there are numerus modellers out there far more experienced than me who would say there is no problem with inverting and they are probably right but on the day this suited me so there you have it. Flying characteristics care not affected at all and they are a superb looking kit ( hence my desire to alter mount). Photos to follow Hope this helps regards Andrew

    I have a pulse xt 60 and had same problem so I side mounted my os 61. Flies great and protects top of cowl Andrew

    Steve Did you have any problems with structural weaknesses on the pulse as have seen some comments re undercarriage failures and did you make any modifications prior to flight. My 1st flight will be with an instructor as not having flown 6 years not sure how much I will remember! any other tips and advice appreciated. Andrew

    I have returned to the hobby after 6 years break and am trying to get my head around 2.4 radio. Santa has brought me a pulse xt 60 by hanger 9 together with an os 61 fx. I don't want to mount the engine upright if possible as it will spoil the profile and the lovely cowl. I have never run an inverted engine in the short time I was in the hobby before. Will this cause a problem and if so has anyone side mounted an engine in this model and how did they do it. any help or advice greatly received Thanks
