  1. has anyone put together and flown a blackhorse chipmunk? I have a sc91 spare and really like the look of it, just wanted to know if its any good.
  2. Thanks folks, ive bought the jr 9x2, very nice piece of kit, feels and looks better than ff9 to me. Its a doddle to program. I only have one futaba pcm receiver,so i'll flog that and buy a jr one which are much cheaper anyway.
  3. will i be able to use a buddy lead between a jr and futaba?
  4. My trusty ff8 transmitter has now past into tx heaven, but i cant decide what to buy to replace it. ive narrowed it down to ff9 or a jr pcm9x2. i fancy tryin out the jr but will it work with my futaba receivers including the pcm ones? also will it buddy up with other futaba tx's? i have 20+ models so 2.4g would cost me a bomb in receivers so im gonna stick with 35meg for the time being.
  5. thanks for that evan, i do intened to use 6v
  6. Our club does not mandate a failsafe and ive never had any trouble with ppm, so would a futaba r168df with futaba s9451 servos be ok ? i was worried about the extra current being pulled through a standard receiver, and are the s9451 overkill?
  7. Im just putting together my first large model, a 1/4 scale yak 55 and carn't decide if i should use ppm or pcm any advice ?
  8. nope not tried ferrite rings who do you get emm from?
  9. I have not extended any leads on battery or esc. Ihave tried the aerial in the usual postion up to the fin, along the the wing and along the bottom of the fuselage, not always in a straight line but in a zig zag too, and it aint made no difference. The models in question are a rcm pelikan wild cap with axi 2820 10, tower pro 60 amp ecs running on 3s lipo with futaba r 137f reciever. blue arrow champion shock flyer with blue arrow brushless motor, tornado esc and r114f futaba reciever. i have a mini funtana with e flight motor (inrunner)tower pro esc r114f reciever and it has never Glitches. ps i got a funjet for xmas and any suggestions on a fast setup would be most welcome, cheers
  10. I have a couple of brushless powered electric models both of which suffer from glitches. It seems to happen when the model is in certain positions in the sky and happens every time i fly them. I have the speed controller as far away from the reciever as i can get, and have tried various aerial positions. Ive even tried wraping the reciever in tin foil none of which have made any difference. Does a more exspensive speed controller help? and what about these jeti mpd recievers. help!
