    I realise this post has been up for a while but for the record I built a reduced size bird of time recently, 2.25m wing, I used a 210 watt turnigy outrunner with a 2200 3 cell lipo and a 30 amp ESC. this is way over powered, it'll take off on half throttle no bother, full thottle results in a vertical climb, models as floaty as this don't need much power. a 2 cell lipo and a 150 watt motor would do just fine.
