  1. Did first flight today of my Dynman Catalina PBY, all it needed was 3/4 clicks of left aileron and it flew straight and level, CG set at 62mm from leading edge using only 2200mha LiPo battery no lead at all needed. only other work done was to use 2 elevator push/pull piano wires doing away with the useless wire connector between the 2 elevator halves and modifying the wing tip float by lessening depth by approx 8mm and shaping the form so it was more "V" shaped. next flight of water I hope Dave Coward Cheshire Falcon MFC Wirral
  2. I use both 35meg and 2.4 ghz FUTABA 7c radios the best bit is that I can use the 2.4ghz for land, marine and aircraft by purchasing recievers as and when required. Also by sticking with the same brand I can use any of my stock of servos in any model with NO problems being experienced wether they be digital or bog standard. Me I will stick with the brand I know as after learning to proram the Futaba 7c 35 meg system the 2.4ghz is exactly the same
  3. Hi, what is  the length of your strip? my "gas bobcat" is a pig to get to rotate, but if I can just hit the "bump"! at the right time everything is OK and she flys well once she has left the ground. A good model to fly without the expense of turbines. Regards david
  4. Hi, here are my three 1. Fairy Gannet 2. Hercules (Electric ) 3. Nimrod (electric as a tribute to our RAF crew lost in 2007!)
  5. Hi, Shaun, good luck with it, make sure you have ample flying speed before lifting of otherwise should be OK .Steve Dorling was right a good "bump" and it will go like ahome sick angel.
  6. check ALL  joints, have found mine to be "wanting" in places!.Third flight on takeof model tip stalled when power was lost just as rotation occured, suspect servo plate had become detached from fusalage causing both throttle and nose wheel steering servo to move causing engine to throtle back. Damage repairable but fus and canopy will never be as good  as new, but  will repair and fly again!
  7. Hi all. any one flying a GAS BOBCAT-50, tried to fly it today from short grass freshly mown strip, plenty of ground speed but refuse's to rotate or fly of strip,Suspect U/C location could well be contributing to problem as the mainlegs are 150mm behind C/G. I am thinking of changing this to 25/30mm which I believe will enable the model to rotate into a flying attitude. Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated. David
