  1. HI all I'm thinking of building the Glider "Bird of Paradise"  designed by C.Williams as per the plan supplied in the RCME "Myhobbystore"  plans collection.  Please does anyone have any experience of this model and any advice.  The other point of interest is which wing aerofoil is used? Is it flat bottomed/ semi or fully symetrical?  Many thanks for any help.  Regards Richard
  2. Hi Rick thanks for your comments on the Super Rieti I was already a bit doubtful about it because of the weight.  What did you not like about it. Will let you know what I decide on etc. Thanks Richard
  3. I'm looking for an 100" approx glider with ailerons etc for slope soaring which flies in reasonable gentle winds but which has a bit of spirit for some aerobatics on a descent day. I keep coming back to 3 models "ASW 28", "Mistral 2500" and "Super Rieti" as possibilities.  Please any advice would be appreciated or any other suggestions please. Many thanks. Richard
  4. Hi Timbo, Afraid not, working as usual.  Have to grab a odd hour flying time when I can.  I live in East Sussex near the Downs.  Richard
  5. I've just returned to Slope Soaring after 30 years away from the hobby.  I have just built Chris Foss's Phase 6 but I'm finding the Fuselage a bit unforgiving in a heavy landing.  30 years ago I had another model of Chris's which was a Phase 2 with fully symetrical wings and all balsa construction.  This was built from a plan.  I really fancy building this model again.  Please does anyone still have a copy of this plan which I could purchase from them? Many thanks, Richard
