I use 2200mAh 11.1V (3S) in mine.

I bought the plane, motor and batteries from BRC Hobbies.

The 2200mAh battery gives about 15/20mins flight time in fairly calm conditions.

As per the manual, connect the left wing servo to channel 1 and the right wing servo to channel 2.

Then reverse the servo on the left wing - do the surfaces now move as expected?

Make sure they move in the correct direction (not the opposite of what's required) - if not reset the left wing servo to normal and reverse the right wing one.
