  1. Hi, here`s my newest and biggest scratchbuild sofar a Chris Williams design Ask -11 in 1:4 scale. The biggest challegne will be to learn to fly it. regards Anders
  2. Maiden at last! My smile is just as big as the pilots. The first flight of the 80 inch Interceptor. Scratch built from Chris Golds plans. Its been 3 years since I started the build. The biggest challenge was the grass full of mole holes and left overs from migrating birds. The interceptor is quite light for its size so it doesn't penetrate the wind unless you fly rather Quick. I will bring the plane to our annual meet at our local field one year later then i promised. A well I got there in the in the end didn't I. enjoy the Pictures and i couldn't have managed this without the help one can find in this excellent forum Anders
  3. Getting closer to the maiden some progress on my Interceptor. I have decided to make a between the wars scheme with silver and aluclad. I am trying out lots of scale techniques learnt on this forum by Mr Fenton, Hopper et al. I have sourced a Hawker fury type scheme from Tim at Model markings. I have got the wings to finsish then it will be maiden on skis, since we got loads of snow here in my part of Sweden. More scale detailing will follow if it survives the first flight. cheers Anders
  4. Yep, Traplet. lots of challanges for a newbie, I manged to get the fuselage slightliy warped. But i Think that if get the stab horizontal with the wings il be ok, Anders
  5. HI here are some progress pictures of my 80 inch interceptor. Its my second scratchbuild. a steep Learning curve. i hope it will fly before christmas. Anders Edited By Anders Wellsten on 27/08/2014 21:40:57
  6. Hi guys here some pictures of my ready 2 fly de haviland Venom in British markings. I am quite new to rc planes, been flying for two years. I am interested in scale planes and try to get my planes to look like the real thing. My first edf was the hk vampire and i found it realy easy to fly therfore i tought that the bigger venom would be the same. Not true at least not for me. The speed of this machine compered to the vampire was totaly different. Anyway i maidended it to today and manged to get it down. safely. Great fun.Lots of work with flaps and gear. had to land it gear up on the grass. I fly from a former military airfiled with tarmac runaways.. It was to windy to try to land it on the tarmac. i tried to emulate a venom from 28 squadron, RAF Kai tak. I got the markings from modelmarkings.com , great stuff. The model is hand painted with tamiya colours it was to much effort to airbrush.   cheers Anders   Edited By Anders Wellsten on 06/10/2012 21:26:15
