  1. Hi guys i pranged my lovely cygnet today. tarmac, crosswind and unfamiliar flying site ganged up on me. I usually fly from grass wich is a tad more friendly to airframes when hitting the ground. I tried a landing and stalled . I am not terribly experienced so i flew to slow and the wind flipped it upside down. I broke the nose clean off at bulkhead f2,. Do you think its possible to fix ? i am worried that i will get a warped fuselage with the thrustline all wrong. Since its built up with stcks and longerons i would think that would be quite difficult. Would you receomend to build a new fuselage? lots of work. cheers Anders
  2. The Swedish Cygnet has done its maiden flight! its been a while, since my last post. Bad weather and nerves but finaly i got there. The cygnet flew without to much trimming and my fears about the airframe beeing out of true were unfounded. Its qute tricky to fly for me beacuse it will keep on turning if i dont give opposite rudder in turns, a scale trait? anway its lots of fun.   now its time to start thinking about my next project, with the knowledge that what i build will fly. Thanks for the kind words cheers Anders     Edited By Anders Wellsten on 22/08/2012 10:54:43
  3. The Cygnet made in Sweden   Hi Tim Here is a picture of my version of your lovely Hawker Cygnet. Its taken me almost a year to build. Its my first post on this exelent forum.its also my first scratchbulid. Before i started to fly rc models i dabbled in static plastic scale models. I have made heaps of mistakes during my build and had to rebuild sevral times due to inexperience. Your build on this forum was very helpful otherwise i would,nt have managed. Since i had to convert imperial to metric there are som slight diffrences between my build and the plan, there are also som issues about all the angles. Hopefully it will fly eventhough its a little bit warped in places. some facts; motor emax gt 4020/07. Covered in oratex antique. all up weight 3.8 kg   I have been flying rcaircraft for 2 years and its going to be quite an experience to maiden this one. to say i am nervous would be an understament. If the plane survives the maiden i will try to post some more photos.   Anders   Sweden It seem that i have problems to insert photos in my post, plesae look in my album for pictures.
