  1. Posted by SDF on 06/06/2012 23:21:00: Alan, Why arn't they made anymore ... x-box, playstation, wii ... need I go on? Mine was one of the last pre-computer game generations (if you don't count Binatone TV Tennis) and all the better for it in my opinion. I have a feeling I should have an unbuilt Hyper Cub somewhere (or it might be that kit was too expensive at the time) but can't quite remember. I certainly had the Rare Bird glider from the same range. Completely agree. I was 18 when I got both my internet enabled PC and my first mobile phone. Even as a web developer I will happily say that I think that life was better before the internet and masses of technology took over kids lives....but I digress. The Rare Bird brings back memories too, always planning what I would like my grandad/Santa to bring me for christmas! No joy on eBay but I will continue the search. Thank you all again
  2. Yes!! Thank you all very much, that is definately the model as I can remember the box now I have seen it! Now...over to eBay I go Cris
  3. Hi Tony, thanks for the quick reply! Could it have been a West Wings as well? I guess that would make sence with the Merlin, and the West Wings kit is rubber powered and about the size that I remember?? Thanks for the helpful reply
  4. Hi all, hope that someone will be able to help me out About 18 years ago, when he was alive, my grandad built me a Veron Cardinal, West Wings Merlin and a rubber powered Cub to get me into the hobby. I am trying to find out the manufactuer of the Cub so that I can try and source a kit (nostalgia reasons) but i am drawing totally blank. The only thing I can remember is that the manufacturer had an advert either in the RCME or on the back cover of the RCME that depicted a bloke (Dad?) with kid(s), possibly a girl, in his well stocked and well lit shed. I think that in his shed he had all manor of planes including some pig balsa flying pigs(!!) but my searches on Google have not given me any help. I would really appreciate it if any one was able to either advise me as to who this manufactuer was/is, and if anyone has an image of that advert would they be so kind as to post it up for me to look at please? Thanks in advance Cris
