Cool .... winter project me thinks !

Hiya paul ... do you think a sc.61 would fit? As I have one doin nothing....

Anyone got one of these? Thinking of taking all the stuff out of my travelair and getting on of these... I'm bored of my "everyday type flyer" and want summat a bit quicker. .. I was also wondering if a .61 will fit? Or maybe bigger with a tuned pipe......

Hi Charles ... me and fellow club members have various planes .. my mate barry has hangar 9 christen eagle and he put the satio 125 in as recommended in the build and it came out perfect on the cg with no added weight. .. I've had a kyosho calmato alpha .. no weight needed. . I've a seagull decathlon .. no weight needed , my black horse pitts using a os120 (as shown in the manual) 700g needed and it still isn't nose heavy... my mate who is building the new black horse taylor craft , needs a kg in the nose! He has several seagull models a yak and 2 edge's and none have needed weight.... it just seems bizarre how some manufacturers get away with the added weight issue. ....

Why are black horse models so tail heavy???? It's ridiculous ... I think I will be sticking with seagull or hangar 9 ...... these never need much weight ..... oh and thanks Terry. ....

Mike..... can I ask did this build tail heavy? Also is there any weight in the nose?? Me and a club member have sooooo much trouble with weight issues on our models ... my pitts has 500g in the nose and my mate has just built the new taylor craft and he needs a kg in the nose!

Just a quickie ... im bored of my travel air and want something with speed!!!! I've got several models but nothing with speed. .... so what airframe would anyone recommend ... it has to be ic or petrol and at least a 50" span with a undercarriage....... cheers guys

I must agree a proper club field like they do in America would be mega .... club house with kitchen, work benches a proper toilet (our toilet *bury club* is a upturned traffic cone behind 2 pieces of old tin roof) ... ha ha

Right. .....I've been sat pondering , looking at my lottery ticket lol ...... if you where to win the lottery so money was irrelevant. .. who would you commission to build a model for you and what would it be?? I would love a large scale fairey barracuda or a mitsibushi ki (sonya) .... and maybe Dave platt to build ...... what about you guys?

I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction. .. I've been chatting to a few friends in our club and we are thinking, when the weather comes back round again,to try our hands at float plane flying. .... now my model I thought would fit the bill ,is my decathlon , so does anyone know where/if/or there's a float set that would fit? Or a plan? Etc .... Phil

I have a asp 160 twin also..... I wonder if it would fit?? Without too much cowl cutting. .. failing that I has a 120surpass...

Hi all Has anyone on here got a gipsy moth by seagull models .... I'm thinking of getting one but was wondering if it's a pain when you get it to the field.... I have a black horse pitts and luckily it fits in the car fully built up .... other wise it takes over an hour to set it up. ... .. so I was wondering if both wingsets come off together etc ..... No justin .. The secondary needle was wound right it.... I didn't think to check at the time..... so at the field it wouldn't pull fuel through ... its wound out abit and it now pulls fuel ... so that's the question really how many turns out from fully in should the secondary needle be? And also I'm using contest 10 ... will that be okay?
