  1. All I would ask is that the one chosen from the next voting round (the winner) will be built by a 'master builder' early on so that any 'bugs' can be sorted before us lesser mortals have a go. My Tucano build had a lot of issues. Mike.
  2. Thanks WF and Ken, I will try those products. I used Deluxe Materials 'glue and glaze' but they have told me to use 'RC modelers glue' instead. Hope one day to get this Tucano finished!!
  3. Anything that would help me complete my Tucano - I await with bated breath!! Mike.
  4. OMG this time again! Still building the Tucano!! I hope the next one chosen is allied to a few construction tutorials as well. I found the Tucano project a very large 'step up' for a novice, although a lot of help was to be had from this forum. Mike.

  6. Hi Nige, No I did not!! although I did roughen up the balsa. Will try that thanks for the tip. what is the best way to remove the old adhesive? Regards, Mike.
  7. Hi, My canopy glue joint has failed after a month (see previous post) the canopy was just sitting on the work bench under no stress. I am using Deluxe Materials 'glue and glaze' - any ideas as to what caused this failure? How should I remake the joint? Mike.
  8.   Hi all, the plan shows the location for the 'peg' to locate the rubber motor but when the other end is fitted to the prop there is an 'interference' at former 9 lower edge!! This cannot be right!! how do I get around this? - move the peg location or cut a notch in former lower edge 9? Mike. Edited By Mike Hardy on 22/09/2013 00:13:44

  10. The KK MIG 15 was the only one that flew for me. But I remember the Jetex pellets were very expensive and i could not get many flights from my 2/6 per week pocket money!! Mike.
  11. Hi, My kit came from Brankit.com, they do several re-pro kits and only cost £11. Vintage models is another. Mike.
  12. Thanks Colin and Buster, Yep there are several kit suppliers reproducing KK and Vernon products. I am building this for my grand-kids, hope it flies. Mike.
  13. Hi All, re my ME109 post - a clearer pic of former 10. Mike
  14. Hi, I am building the fuselage and noticed former 10 is only anchored at one point! am i missing something here? I am sure somebody on here has built has built this kit in the past and can comment. Mike
  15. Hi all, I am having problems gluing the canopy to the cockpit especially around F5, I am using Deluxe materials 'glue and glaze' which when dry (2 hours) pulls away from parts of F5. Any tips? how do I make the canopy more flexible around F5 (heat)? The canopy is by Sarik. Mike.
  16. Thanks BEB, having a few issues with the cockpit - the Vortex pilots are too tall for the Sarik canopy supplied by MHS so had to cut them down to fit. Why do I always get these probs Mmmm? So I am almost ready to glue the canopy on to the pilot assy. then I can finish the front end off The price you paid for the Balsacraft FW190 kit was low!! They go on Ebay for well over £100 if you can get one. It was a pity the people who bought Balsacraft did not continue with those kits - excellent quality. Mike.
  17. Hi, I have been using this site for years and had the some password - come to log in today and the site refused to accept my password. I have had to reset my password to get in. How do I do this? and why was my original password not accepted today? Answers please. Mike.
  18. Thanks BEB - and good luck with the FW190, I built the balsacraft Spit some years ago. Mike.
