  1. Thanks Guys, I never realised a bit of fluff would stir up so many replies!! Mike.
  2. Hi, all, Velcro cable ties (cheap) for securing the Li-Po to the tray - does it matter which side fluff or hook comes into contact with the battery? Mike.
  3. **LINK** Thanks BEB, are these suitable? There must be a lot of these type of things you master builders use, is it possible that somebody 'in the know' could bring to our attention Mike.
  4. Thanks Phil, Where did you source the velcrow strap?. Mike,
  5. Hi Phil, Question on your battery tray - is it made out of balsa or ply? Is the battery held down on to the tray by some means or do you rely on the tight fit? And congratulations on your Tucano. Mike.

  13. Hi All master builders, Just want to wish you all well at Greenacres this week end and hope the Tucano's return home safely and in one piece!! As you can see I am about half way through and without the help and encouragement from you all would not have got this far. although I've had my fair share of problems I know help is not far away!! As a novice I have found the jump from building with a kit to  working from a plan a bit daunting but I have another 6 months to finish. Now most of you on here have finished, and from your pics. to a very high standard - I hope you stick around and maintain your help to us novices. Mike. 14. Thanks Colin and Phil, A question for Phil - Where can I obtain a Carpenter's shooting board ? This gadget may help me sand balsa and end up with a flat 90 deg edge. Mike.
  15. Hi, Another question: The nose bottom sheet.- the drawing note states 3/8" balsa yet the drawing shows a maximum thickness of 1/2". Which is correct? Mike.
  16. Thanks Phil, I use a dremel 4000, so do I use the 335 plunge router attachment and and 3.2mm bit. Mike.
  17. Thanks Colin and Phil. Phil, just what sort of tool/machine do you use to get those 'text book' rebates I cannot believe they are 'hand crafted'!! Mike.
  18. I've seen somewhere on here a mod for the nose wheel fitment using M3 cap screws to hold the saddles in place. Can't find it!! - can anybody give me a clue where to look? Thanks, Mike.

  22. Hi BEB, How many coats of sanding/sealer did you apply beforehand and did you sand down after applying the sander/sealer? Did the cloth adhere well to the balsa? I did a small test piece and found it could be pulled off easily but did not apply the sander/sealer beforehand. Mike.
  23. Guys, Wing centre section (Phil's Mod) under side cap strip - 1/8 balsa, is it left square edges or rounded? does this cap strip grain run 'front to back' or as per wing?. Thanks, Mike.
  24. I notice several builders are facing F4 and F5 with ply (what thickness?) is there any reason for this mod?. Mike.
