  1. Hi Allan, Take a look at this site. Its the most useful site I know. www.airfieldmodels.com/index.html   Look up the magnetic building board link. Nothing new about mag boards. I have a Radio Modeller mag from the 1960s with describes a similar system.    Chris
  2. Thanks Allan, I have had a look, the ones I found are the wrong size and cost about £5 each, I need about 100 of them! Chris.
  3. Hi Shaun, Errr, neodynium magnets? Hmmm, Don't know,  I have to admit I have not heard of them before, I think they may be more expensive than ceramics, I will have to look into it. Thanks for the idea though. Chris.
  4. I want to make a magnetic building board as shown at the Airfield Models website. Because of postage costs etc it's not really practical to get the magnets from the USA. Does anyone know where suitable ceramic magnets can be bought in the UK? About 1inch squ. with steel side plates and with a 1/4 dia hole through the centre. Any help welcome.
  5. Hi phil, Sounds like a good idea, thanks. Chris.
  6. Hi, everybody, I hope someone out there can help with this. I have accquired a Graupner Maxi kit made in the 1970s. Its complete with the original ABS cowling. It is very thin and probably won't last too long. I would like to copy it useing glass fibre etc. Can anyone suggest a way of doing this without damageing the original. Looking forward to hearing from someone. Chris.
  7. Skyleader Radio was founded and run by Stewart Uwins, who died recently. As far as I know in the late 70s or early 80s he went over to making RC systems for the military and stopped making civilian systems. When that creased I don't know. Stewart was a member of the 7 Oaks MFC as was I and I met him on many occiasions.  I was sad to hear of his passing.
