  1. Sorry for the late reply, just stumbled on this one. I don't remember what version of turbo cad I have but what I do is open a jpeg picture in windows Paint. Select 'all' and then 'copy'. Open turbo cad and 'paste'. You may need to zoom in quite a bit some times, and it is not full proof and some times there is no picture , but for the most part it works well.
  2. I am new to electrics myself and found all this difficult to grasp.  For my F3A I used the following method. The wattage /pound to find watts. if no watts for motor use the stated ESC less 20 percent and the battery voltage you intend to use to calculate the watts. Remember that most like to fly electrics at half throttle, and so you will need to up the watts some what, say half more than calculated. Now you have the motor watts, esc, and battery and need to find the propeller. One way is to use a calculator to narrow the search, or buy a number of props, and using a good fishing scale and watt meter, find the prop that gives thrust equal to weight with the least wattage close to half throttle setting.Hope it helps, it is certainly a good starting point.

    Help

I would like to move onto 3D flying after messing with sport F3A aircraft,  and noticed that some aircraft are called freestyle, while others 3D. The only difference that i note are the wing styles, from thin section and taper for feestyle, and barndoor thick section for 3D.   Can anyone help me decide which is the best choice ?
  5. Hi John, My solution was to dremel the necessary holes etc, untiol the two halfs can clip together, made sure lock nut was used on all the bolts, then boldly glued the two half together.  Just make sure you use a z-bend on the carb end - maintenance free.  Quinn.
