Hello OJB, I too aquired a Hanger 9 80(ish)inch Taylorcraft recently. Mine is the 2-piece wing example. It had been built very well but had never flown. It is complete with a Tornado Thumper 6374 motor, a Hacker X80 ESC and a 10s Lipo. I've installed the Rx and I found that the C of G is 4 inches from the l.e.Just about right, I think! I am, however, still waiting for the ideal conditions for its maiden flight. Hello also to Mal, I read that you have the instruction manual. Is it a weighty tome or could it be copied, e-mailed, bought, or any of the above? Regards to all. Roy

Hello fellow modellers. I started modelling, probably like most of us, as a kid. Living near Rochester airfield, there was no shortage of light aircraft to observe. The bug really bit when I lived in Germany,where I took it up seriously. I had one of the first generation helicopters, with fixed pitch, which I could fly but not land! (Expensive) and a Dutch microlight which was a dreaam to build and fly. I left everything to a fellow German flyer on my return to UK in 1987. I started again, last year, this time for keeps and I have a WOT 4 to get my 'A' licence, a TN Lysander nearing completion and the 80inch Taylorcraft waiting for the right condition for the maiden flight. I have already used the forum for help with the Taylorcraft and found it to be a superb source of information and friendship. Happy landings!

Thank you all very much. Problem solved! The builder had built in a hidden switch on the dashboard which appeared to be a thottle control! Polarity reversed between motor and ESC, as advised, and it all works perfectly. All I need to do now is get a copy of the the programming instructions from Hacker and it's off into the wild blue yonder. Once again, gents, a big THANK YOU. Roy

Help! This is my first attempt at electric flying and I already have a problem.I have aquired a pre-built but unflown Taylorcraft 80inch span aircraft. It has a Tornado Thumper 6374, a 10s lipo and a Hacker x80 installed. It is wired in a very confused way. Can some-one please explain how it should be done before I lose the plot. Roy
