  1. Id like to say a massive thankyou to all of you for your great help and advice. KC You are right that is the exact model I have and I have been intouch with myhobbystores and purchased a cowl from them. increadibly they still make them. I will post pics as soon as i have fitted it and the engine. Kind regards, Vince.
  2. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! there it is. Thankyou jeff2wings I have ordered a cowl. I have been truly overwhelmed by how much everyone on here has helped me. Thankyou so very much to all of you. I am 29 and have no friends or contacts into this hobby so everything I know is from trial and error, well error mostly. I taught myself to fly with an old wot4. I googled everything I needed to know and got some basic info from a local shop. After crashing it several times and nearly loosing a finger to the prop I could finally fly and I have got more and more into the hobby. I managed to convince a local club to give paperwork on the a licence and let me come to the club for 1 afternoon to take my a licence. (I passed by the way and framed the certificate) the club was full and wouldnt let me join so i made my own runway on my family farms 4 acre field and have flown alone ever since. This Messerschmitt is the last nitro plane I have left as I have switched to electric. I really do miss flying my nitros so will be so pleased to get this one in the sky. I have a brand new OS60 to go in it but havent fit it yet. I really cant thank you all enough and will use other info given on here to make other things I have been scratching my head over. I will of course add pics of her complete and ready to fly as soon as the parts arrive. Kind regards, Vince
  3. Thankyou so much for your help I will get searching.
  4. Sorry if I have caused an issue. I posted on everything flying then saw a war bird section so posted there. Didn't mean to cause any problems and don't know how to remove previous post.
  5. Wow that looks exactly like it. The wing span is 61" I have never seen one so close looking until now. Another thing is have you ever seen the three point engine mount this one of mine has as it puzzles me? Thanyou.
  6. Another thing, has any one else ever seen this triangle 3 point engine mount set up before? It has left me puzzled.
  7. Thankyou again for your info. I will look the plans up for that one. The fiberglass cowl is not right tho as in mine the engine will be mounted at a 45 degree angle allowing the exhaust to run in its groove on the bottom left corner. I have looked over many cowls but none seen to fit the bill as if you looking the top front of mine the guns grooves begin on the fuz and split half way along with the rest on the cowl and there are 5 exhaust outlets on the fuz so one will be on the cowl. This split is what I'm really struggling to find on any other messerschmitt model. Most cowls I have seen have the complete front guns detail and exhausts on them.
  8. Hi, Sorry forgot to add that. It is a 61 inch wingspan. Had a look at your link but i would say this will be a balsa cowl to be hand built.
  9. Hello everyone, Several years ago I brought a messerschmitt rc balsa model in a clearance auction for £20 it had its cowl missing but despite this I brought it with the intention of making one myself by obtaining plans. Now i am not a pro builder and need plans to build a cowl. The problem is I cant find another plane quite like this one let alone any sort of plans. for years I have tried to find out what it is as im desperate to fly it but due to my being fussy i wont fly it incomplete. please could anyone have a look at the pics I have uploaded on youtube via the link at the bottom and assist me with identifying this very detailed and apparently rare plane. any help at all would be greatly received. Kind regards, Vince. https://youtu.be/91zW5kEmtRI

  11. Thankyou for the info so far but im still stuck with trying to find out what ive got. I have found a website that marutaka plans are freely available to download but the bf109 they have is a 900mm mine is a 61". I am still hanging on in the hope that someone will recognise mine and tell me what kit it is. I have found a couple of cowls but as mine has the machine gun grooves and the engine air intake or cooling vent on the fuz its self its proving a real mission to find anything even similar. Does anyone have a plan for a marutaka 61" BF 109??? I dont have much to offer in return accept a complete plan for a Heinkel HE111 if it helps anyone else.
  12. Here is the link to the pics of my bf109. **LINK**
  13. Hi everyone, my name is Vince. I am new to this site and new to threads. Can anyone help me? I have brought a 61" messerschmitt pre assembled plane. The detail is magnifisent and I am delighted with it but, the nose cowl is missing. I am looking for a replacement or plans to build my own. Here is the problem, I dont know what kit it is. I have looked all over the internet and found pics of only one similar kit, ROYAL MARUTAKA. MTK-037 MESSERSCHMITT BF109E . I have taken pics of mine on the link to follow. PLEASE could anyone with any knowlege about Marutaka kits advise me if you think this is one as, unless I can identify this kit I stand little chance of finishing this fantasticly detailed plane. Also anyone with a messerschmitt have a look just incase you have the same one and you know what it is. Any information will be most gratefully received, Thankyou.
