  1. Cheers Frank, Just thought it odd none of the guys at the club have had a reminder yet. I'm sure its on the way, to be fair the post has been playing the strike card of late..
  2. Oh well, from the well informed good for you. Ill just give them a ring. Cheers Tim.....
  3. Is there some problems with the Bmfa, normaly had renewal invite by now, trying to pay online proving to be boring, will not go down the the normal standard visa route trying to send me to world pass payment, never heard of it and idont want to fund isis I will not press enter on that one, or it it just fund another model heretage center.
  4. Personally having seen what I saw this weekend I will not be attending the Weston park show due to the lack of obvious lack of consideration for safety over crowd safety over egos. Sorry for the rant but to be fair back to the title keep it safe. In any way you can.
  5. It seems this has been published and I am very pleased, Facebook seems to have blocked it. After what I saw this weekend drones are welcome, badly pilotded micro lights are not. From a prefessional pilots point of view it was a poor show. I've always said the cause of most accidents is ignorance Ie not being given the full facts proceeding the event and being unable to perceive the outcome of such tragedy or arrogance which will fly in the face of the known situation regardless of the consequences. I always feel sorry for the later because the unknown get involved by default.
  6. Organised a fantastic club weekend, lots of effort, all in aid of a fabulous local charity. A great fly in,club flyers really enjoyed the chance of a club showcase, superb, two day event. A chap who thought he was above the law decided to do a low fly by having been told he was not welcome to do so, putting the lives of hundreds of visitors at risk and again totally illegal. What a shame we go through all the correct channels respect the system respect the neabours then within a couple of minutes a poorly qualified pilot loosely named, Stuart Bishop of the Weston park planning can ruin it. This will probably not be published but, shame it needs to be.
  7. Signed up. Ex ATC 94f sqn ex RAF. Cutbacks here and overspending there can't keep up with it, my children now go to an academy and losing my Model club because Hs2 will literally be going straight through it. Ooh don't get me started.
  8. Sorry differint kit I know and the hinged idear for the cowl looks a fantastic idear. Smaller kit thd DB pup. A different set up but same problem, I made the side panel removeable so could access the battery bay i installed, worked a treat on this model. It was a real pleasure to build that kit.
  9. Long way from a band saw and a few bits of printed balsa. Even with all the profile jig set up guaranteed no two models will fly the same. One good point i visited Radar the world models showroom in Hong kong couple of years ago and the great thing was they were really enthusiastic about flying and all their products. The way the economy turning round of late it would be great to see a few state of the art model industries setting up in the uk. Not by the way to decry the resident producers that we do have.i might add. Theres nothing better than a workshop that is full of sawdust and sketches of a scratch build but nice to open a box of plastic bags of a nearly ready quick fix as well. Mind you probably need e few more finger guards on the cutters in the UK eh.
  10. No its a different animal to the B&D but still pretty sturdy for its weight and could bolt any dedicated fixing to the top. Just never ceases to amaze me what you can get for a song these days. Farce is if it had model stand written on it, it would be a fortune.
  11. Bought one of these as a spare pair of hands for decorating. Not same as my good old BD workmate by any means but very light and whilst putting it together thought it would make a good patch stand, vice top and sturdy even though light, heres the grab £9.99 Bargin. Folds pretty flat for the back of the car. As they say model not included, serving suggestion ☺ Thought pass it one might save someones back. Cheers Tim....
  12. Futaba FHSS R2106GF This one smaller about the same price about £25. wt 4grm. 6 channel. Says park fly but very good range seen flown to a dot with no probs. Hope that helps, cheers Tim......
