  1. ah well , who knows , lets just get em bolted on , and see how long they last , as erflog says dle is a copy of da ? agm is a copy of dle ? if its a good fake then i'll be pretty happy especially at £140 as opposed to £225 , only time will tell , plus replacement bits arent that expensive
  2. ok its arrived ...... all seems perfectly fine to me ..........?
  3. 'tis ian , its the same one my m8 ordered from , he has three of them , and says they are definately genuine
  4. i ordered one of these yesterday , had an email today to say it will be delivered tomorrow via dpd **LINK** , i also had a bit of a conversation with the guy and i offered him £140 for it , its listed at £158 , he guaranteed me its a genuine dle , and they are shipped from somewhere in london . I'll get some pics up tomorrow when it arrives
  5. its just a hypothetical question , basically curious thats all , doesnt effect me personally
  6. reading what they told me , it seems as though agm manufacture dle , no idea , i'm confused
  7. assuming a person has bmfa insurance , what size model would he be allowed to fly , on an open field , with houses down one side .
  8. isnt tower hobbies in america , would you not get stung with vat and import duties
  9. heres a strange one , i emailed one of these sellers on ebay , and said can you give me a guarantee that these engines are genuine dle engines , the reply was ..... " our engines are not fake but AGM GENUINE " so i replied saying , but AGM isnt DLE , and they replied saying ........ " but this engine belong to AGM , and this item that we sell is produced by our AGM " so it seems that dle are produced by agm according to the seller
  10. R.I.P Brent , no more pain , fly with the angels , godbless , prayers and sympathies to family and friends 🌅
  11. Posted by cymaz on 09/02/2015 17:36:42: I found this thread about the various ways to spot a fake. Here Easy to spot when you know how. I suspect IanN will have a quick look. Sorry to worry you. yeah thats what i found earlier on today cymaz , suppose dle cloned their engines from another make , i dont mind if the fake is as good as the "original" , theres no info on anyone buying a fake engine and dojng a review
  12. nice one ian , is it a genuine one ? How do you tell ? just been looking at these ones **LINK**
  13. seen this on ebay **LINK** i put in a best offer of £140 and they accepted it , apparentley supposed to be the biggest distributors of dle engines in europe , on the auction page it says 88 sold , yet nowhere in their feedback is a dle mentioned !!!
  14. Posted by ken anderson. on 08/02/2015 09:36:28: nah---- don't agree in any shape or form-joining a club and getting to know like minded friends who are willing to help you grasp the basics etc-is what its all about and to be encouraged- in my club its the norm...and without it the club wouldn't exist...and as such the mantle of teacher etc is passed down as we all progress... ken Anderson...ne...1 ........ learning dept. thumbs up to that ken 👍👌
  15. there has been a big rant going on , on the bmfa fb page , about some individual who was charged a total of £300 in flying tuition at some club . some say this is acceptable if the club agrees , some say it is highly unethical , after all whats the point in joining a club in the first place , others say its illegal , and is not allowed by the bmfa any comments ?
  16. Posted by IanN on 04/02/2015 09:27:45: Posted by john melia 1 on 04/02/2015 08:40:08: trouble is none of these voltage indicators work with LiFe packs Try these **LINK** I didn't get them from this source, but I use them with LiFe packs (on the 6.6v setting, obviously) and they're great i've tried them , trouble is when you waggle both sticks the led's flash on and off up and down the scale , so cant see the use of that tbh
  17. hi wes , i havent flew the yak yet , will be in the very near future though , its been a bit of a love hate relationship with my sbach , it flies extremely well , but is a bit of a monster to land , the slightest blip on the throttle on approach and it soars off skywards , i'm now thinking it may be slightly tail heavy although its not noticeable in flight , and it doesnt head for the ground while inverted i was talking to a guy on fb the other day , he has had five sbachs , and stated he had seen the same problem , he cured it by making it slightly more nose heavy , there will be no doubt many on here who have had no problems landing theirs , but thats just my experience , and the guy who owned five of them a friend of mine , also had an sbach ( he is a very very accomplished 3d pilot ) and he experienced the same on landing , although he could handle it a lot better , and it would hwve been more tsil heavy than mine because of his extreme manouveures , hd also had a yak , and stated the yak flew , and landed better than his sbach , but again its down to models , makes , and personal preference i still have my sbach , wouldnt dream of getting rid of it lol
  18. i'm going to give ita miss, think the price is too high , it has tower pro servos , a converted chainsaw engine ? £280 nah lol
  19. trouble is none of these voltage indicators work with LiFe packs

  21. has anyone come across one of these huskavana (not sure if i spelt it right ) 64cc engines in a model aircraft , a guy is selling a bipe with one in , but i know nothing about them , other than i think its a chainsaw engine
  22. just bought the soldering station , pretty good so far
  23. well that is indeed the case , but i'm in no rush , as i've said i've got plenty to fly , i can wait until its back in stock , or maybe go for something else completely
  24. if two shops are selling the same item and shop 1 is selling the item for £100 whereas shop 2 is selling it for £150 where you going to buy it from ? Would you buy it from shop 2 simply because its your local shop , that you've always went to , or would you buy it from shop 1 £50 cheaper . remember its the exact same item , no difference , i know where i would buy it from , and save £50 to go towards something else .
