  1. Many congrats Mudflap!!! Looks like all that the hard work finally paid off!!
  2. Not sure about those items, why dont you go with either Lew's Tony N's brushless set-up. Failing that you will get some sound advice from Puffin Models who have expertise in electic flight and would direct you down the right path for your needs, AUW is also a major consideration for what you should buy.
  3. Here you go http://www.motorsandrotors.com/home.htm
  4. Very much the same here, I chased Falcon on the 90mm wheels for ages, all I constantly got was they were on order but not idea as to when they might arrive, then came the line about there contact vanishing so I simply gave up there chase.
  5. The 3-bladed props you talk of are a 'Flying Styro Kits' product 'Vrtule Propeller', the UK importer is: www.samsmodels.co.uk/ Tel 01763 287606 The code is E232 they cost £1.95 ea and look great on this Lanc!
  6. I managed to get hold of a 1/16 scale British WWII Bomber Pilot bust which is as near to scale as I could find and looks just about perfic! Comes unpainted, is very detailed and as light as a feather. Cost is £2 plus £1.50 p&p, he has a range from 1/35 to 1/8 scale. Send an SAE for his list to: Dave Banks 46 Queensbury Rd Kingsbury London NW9 8LT Tel: 020 8205 8809 Unfotunately no web site ordering but try this link page for info http://www.ffscale.co.uk/page6.htm

  9. It sounds great and good luck with the maiden!
  10. Hi Leigh, yes it was and was wondering about the additional weight of servos etc, but hey high tech elastic bands are cool, it should look great in the air! Am considering building a Dambuster version once this one is done.
  11. Thanks Mudflap, I have just gone with turning over the wing and pressing home the spar. Lighting...thats sounds interesting, any details, also what method you used for operatiion of the bomb bay doors?
  12. Thanks for your input Leigh as it is exactly what I was thinking of doing but wanted to get it confirmed with TN to be sure...have no desire to rebuild a wing! There is an on-going build on the RC Groups forum of this plane, it appears the guy has reduced the height of the rear jig tabs as they do not appear the same height as mine and also reduced the thickness of the 6mm main spars at W13-W15 to allow them to sit correctly. I see the guy has also added operating U/C doors but wonder how much weight is being added to have such nicety's on this model. Also did you notice that outline drawing of rib W11 was missing from the plan?
  13. TN Also the rear jig tabs of W4 thru W11 do not allow these ribs to sit fully on the bottom 6mm sq main spar, in effect they sit approx 2.5mm above this spar and do not fully drop down onto it. Are we supposed to reduce the height of the rear jig tabs accordingly to allow the ribs to sit on 6mm sq main spar? Or Should we raise the lower main spar up into the rib slots?....but this then goes against the mag advice to pin the spars to the build board.
  14. Tony N Query re the Wings. Ribs W13, 14 & 15 do not sit fully on the upper/lower 6mm sq main spar's, they only sit onto the spar's by approx 3mm, as a result they obviously do not align with the other ribs in flowing height to the tip. I presume both upper & lower 6mm sq main spar's are reduced in thickness by 3mm from W12 thru to W15 to allow the ribs to sit on the build surface and so align in flowing height with the other ribs? Cheers Tony
  15. Thanks Walt's, thought I was have a dumb blonde moment then...yeah smilies would brighten up the place!
