Been a member for sometime not realy active now picked up the courage to build the top flite dc-3 kit and do a build log aswell. My building skills are fair with room to improve so any help please throw it my way.
I can not start the kit until the 6th November as it is a birthday present, With itchy fingers i could not wait to open the box and set up for the first part of the build now all i have to do is wait
The main box loads of wood, die cut parts, plastic parts and small bag bits

Been ready this with interest, As SR71 stated needs to come to an end before it get out of hand. Before anyone does something stupid lets make friends and get flying.

And if you do your A on an IC do they require you to demonstrate powering up an electric plane safely? I suspect not and its a pity.....
Yes we do as part of our safety we look at this.
Why is this such a big thing we do this so members are a where of the safety procedures required.
each set up does have different procedures in the pits makes sense to cover both.

We have this at our club. If you do your A on Electric you can fly I.C but we ask you to go though the starting procedures as this is different from electric. The flying is the same no matter what power plant is in your plane.
This is a club rule only and is done for safety reasons only.

Thanks All, everything is coming together slowly
PeterF I have heard that this plane is tail heavy the idea is to have the receiver unit and batteries in the nose area to take some of the weight from the wing and use it for balancing. One thing I did notice was the amount of balsa sheets in the box need some more glue
