How to make easy wing bags
Wendy (Perfect-Pilots) replied to Wendy (Perfect-Pilots)'s topic in All Things Model Flying
Simon ours are just recently made, so don't know whether the aluminium will rub off. We would be very surprised because looking at the material it doesn't seem likely. Hope it lasts okay! Just to be on the safe side it may be an idea to wrap the wing in a piece of fabric before placing it in the bag. -
How to make easy wing bags
Wendy (Perfect-Pilots) replied to Wendy (Perfect-Pilots)'s topic in All Things Model Flying
Hi Levanter3 That must be telepathy ! So glad that this idea is helpful to you. The bags are easy to make, the materials are readily available and the low cost is a great bonus - we estimate that each bag cost about £3 - £4 - amazing! Hope you enjoy the project! -
How to make quick and easy wing bags. They make storage and transport of wings so much easier. This is what we used: aluminised bubble wrap (sold for loft insulation) tape - glass reinforced tape and duct tape wooden dowel for handles magnets for closing

Rougham LMA Show 2014
Wendy (Perfect-Pilots) replied to Brian Lambert's topic in Shows, Club Events and Competitions
Had a great weekend at LMA Show at Rougham. Unfortunately the weather didn't co-operate too well on Saturday, but Sunday was an improvement. Despite the weather being quite challenging at times, there was plenty of great flying! I displayed a selection of my pilots, with some new additions on show for the first time. -
It's always great to see a pilot installed in the cockpit and ready for action. This is a photo sent to me recently by a customer, and features my pilot P1306. Because the pilot is so prominent in this aircraft we worked with the customer to make the pilot move when the flight controls move (eg. his feet move with the rudder pedals with the rudder).

New Jet pilot - 1/4 scale
Wendy (Perfect-Pilots) replied to Wendy (Perfect-Pilots)'s topic in Scale Matters
My new jet pilot is ready for action! I enjoyed the challenge of making this bespoke pilot, especially as my customer was able to give me details of how he should look, having flown Vampires himself. I hope that he will be a good "Mini Him" for the 1/4 scale Vampire. -

New Jet pilot - 1/4 scale
Wendy (Perfect-Pilots) replied to Wendy (Perfect-Pilots)'s topic in Scale Matters
Hi Monz Thanks, glad you like him! There are a variety of options available for him - full body (articulated) dressed in fabric or real leather clothing, half body also dressed, and a shorter version than half body too (any height to suit your cockpit). So it all depends on what you need. Have a look at my website www.perfect-pilots.co.uk and you can email me from the link on the website. I don't normally supply 1/4 scale articulated pilots unpainted, but would be happy to do so and work out a price for you if you let me know more details of what you are looking for - could you please email me. Thanks Regards Wendy -
I've been hard at work on a new bespoke project - a ¼ scale Vampire pilot. My customer flew Vampires during the 1950's and 1960’s and so was able to provide me with accurate scale details. The pilot will be wearing a flight suit. I have also designed and made a life preserver with scale details suited to a jet pilot of this era. I've been experimenting with paint colours and techniques - painting not completed yet, but here is a “work in progress” picture: Will post more pictures once he's ready to fly! Wendy
