  1. We recently attended ProWing International Model Show. It was held at Flugplatz Soest, near the town of Bad Sassendorf in Germany. Although in Germany, the show attracted pilots, traders and visitors from many different countries throughout Europe. There were spectacular and diverse flying displays over the course of the three day event – as can be seen from the YouTube attachment. A huge marquee housed an incredible range of traders - from models to suit all disciplines and tastes, to the very necessary small components and accessories, and everything in between! So between flying displays and when there was some rain, there was plenty of browsing to keep visitors busy. This was our first international show, and we displayed a range of our pilots in different sizes, and representing different eras and styles. We also offered accessories – harnesses in different styles and sizes, and also the new goggles recently added to the range. The show was a great opportunity to show modellers some examples of the bespoke work that we do. It was great to have so much positive feedback from visitors, and many were surprised at the light weight of our pilots – we work really hard at achieving this! The show was also very useful in terms of market research and we now have some interesting ideas for future development. **LINK**

  8. I wonder if there will come a time when it is just normal for homes to have a 3D printer, as it has become with so many amazing gadgets and technology. And I wonder how soon that may be? And ahem, I hope to continue making bespoke pilots - I hope there will always be a place for hand crafted pilots dressed in proper clothes like real mini people!
