  1. Gentlemen, The lunchbox has landed. Finally got to open it. Studying the build starts tomorrow. Stevo, thank you for your tip on how to produce the lozenges. Will experiment on some scrap tex. Santa also brought me one of the Osprey books, Fokker DVII Aces Part 2. So lots of colour plates and info to drool over whilst the build starts. (Also as complete surprise a 1957 vintage Kielkraft magazine which focuses on WWI fighters. First photos should appear below:
  2. Your finished article looks very scale and the lozenge pattern looks incredible realistic.
  3. Thanks, Just viewing it now. Lots of books out there to depict profiles. I am surprised there are any two alike!
  4. Jeff, Many thanks for the advice and prompt response. Will have a bit of practise on some old solar tex to judge the results. Probably need to start building before I worry too much about the finish but nice to plan ahead. Workbench could do with a tidy too!!
  5. Does anyone know if the Flair lozenge pattern solartex is still available? or similar. it seems almost all the schemes require the lozenge camouflage.
  6. i got theFlair Fokker DVII which are apparently in very short supply. Built the Flair Stearman a few years ago. Just hope that the Fokker is of the same excellent standard. Not allowed to open the box until in laws leave!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. He certainly did! But not allowed to open until house visitors have gone. More frustrated than if it hadn't arrived!! Still the mulled wine and reviewing colour schemes is keeping me occupied until I can get started. Wonder when the guns will arrive??? Be like second Christmas. Excited now!!!
  8. Hi all. New to the site and believe that Santa may be about to deliver a NIB Flair Fokker DVII kit. I know that others are already mid build on similar models but thought it best to start my own blog rather than cluttering theirs with all my trials and tribulations. In preparation have just sent off for the Williams Bros Spandau guns and pair of palmer cord wheels. Just hope my assumption about Santa's generosity and his ability to read my Christmas List is accurate! In the interim, guess I ought to research a colour scheme. It appears there are a few to choose from!!!!!!
