  1. Monz, amazing scheme. And so much cheaper than Arizona Models fabric (about £150 for just the wings). Could you tell me more about that technique. You have clearly covered the model in a base layer first.... plain tissue or fabric? And then applied the printed lozenge to tissue???
  2. Oops.... I didn’t post the explanation. The dragon on the side of the Picture above is what I’m looking to replicate.
  3. Hi guys, Does anyone have any experience of making bespoke water slide decals using special inkjet paper.... looking to make some fairly complex motifs for my Flair Fokker DVII.
  4. Does anyone have any experience of making bespoke water slide decals with special inkjet printer paper?????
  5. Yep. Saw that photo before.... really brilliant scale effect. Just the addition of the green tape as the belt for the ammo makes a massive difference.
  6. That’s a shame! I have their F4U Corsair (complete kit with retracts) sat waiting to be built or sold on... I already have 2 Corsairs but this was my first purchase..... Beautiful Fibre glass fuselage and wing centre section.
  7. I decided to use 0.8 mm ply as the centre of the sandwich for the wing strut attachment points! Only problem was that I had already started attaching the serrated leading edge sheeting to one side. So inserting the 0.8 mm ply spacer was akin to keyhole surgery!!! At least I had the rib outlines still so was able to replicate exact size and eventually patience won! Edited By Harrier Mate on 06/12/2019 00:04:41
  8. Drooling at some of the scale accessories like ammo boxes etc on the Arizona site.... nahhh! I can scratch build them.... is litho plate the very thin aluminium stuff that can be used??   Edited By Harrier Mate on 03/12/2019 19:57:49
  9. First job is to finish the serrated wing leading edge sheeting... just top of too wing to do.... must remember to glue in the strut attachments first!.... then back to finesse the dummy sprung tail skid assembly. It’s not going to be steerable but don’t think that will matter for amount of ground roll with skid on the ground.
  10. Spent this eve scratching my head.... first looking for small assemblies I know I had already completed and trying to remember solutions to little problems I had devised but now forgotten... and not written down anywhere.... and where did I put that aliphatic resin glue.....🤣
  11. Ive emailed 'Todd" at Arizona this afternoon.... to find out how much it will cost and will then place order... using the excuse that its an early Christmas pressie for me! Ha Ha.
  12. Tom Tom, if the Arizona Models route doesn’t work, I’d really appreciate the pattern stencil to copy.
  13. Hi guys, David thanks for the link.... I was waiting for Arizona models to get back to me... but you’ve already answered the question 😎
  14. Hi Bob, just researching the lozenge pattern covering at moment... seems that Arizona Models May be the only source!
  15. Hi guys, been a long time sat waiting for a home and somewhere to build... but finally I’m ready to continue with my Flair Fokker.... if anyone is still out there that’s interested!
  16. Jeff.... Disregard!!! Just my ham fisted clicking. Found them all now.
  17. Jeff...... Or I would be looking at your albums if I knew how to find them in search!!
  18. Wow. Ok. That sets the target! Thanks Ernie.
