And 87.4% of statistics are just made up! i read in another forum.they had a poll of about 500 people who's had theirs fly away and 26%of them voted yes,and they never saw them again.thats where that come from.real users not statistics.not unless they were lying to diss the dji???? i have the link. anyway the gliders sold so please close the thread.thanks.
  2. ah right,i can remember that.the beard made me do it
  3. in my case with the glider was filling myself with confidence by watching how"easy"it was to fly on youtube, also by the people selling it. with the heli, same really except the earth wire came off while up in the air.and it went into the ground like a tent peg

  8. Posted by Olly P on 06/01/2014 10:06:58: Bert - how much if you where to post it to me in Stockport? I might be able to sort someone who works from here and the crawley office collecting it for me... have pm'ed you olly
  9. haha!!well if anything else its created a good laugh.however,in keeping with the funny side of things if someone wants it all in the original box they can have it for £30! so if a new fuse is £20, fit your receiver and battery ,and you will be in the air for £50! now thats a bargain has to be collected from crawley though at that price!
  10. Posted by Stephen Grigg on 05/01/2014 11:30:46: Good luck with whatever you decide,a boat may be apt for this time of year but knowing your luck.it would sink funnily enough someone did say dont buy a model titanic lol cheers gregg
  11. i understand all that my friend, what happened is the wife bought a heli for me for xmas,i crashed that in 10 seconds,so i thought i'd take out some electrics and put it in a glider,an "easystar",then when i crashed that too 4 times i just thought,$%^$^ to it .my biggest mistake was stupidly filling myself with confidence after watching "easy peasy"youtube videos and converting how easy it is to reality.which didnt happen.of course i know i should of waited. my neighbour told me of his friend thaT HAD a dji quadcopter that cost £350.it flew away never to return.now i would be crying to have that happen and no amount of instruction would of helped that failure.apparently 26%of these things have flown away all by themselves. so,after all this i have decided that i cant afford the risk of having something come out of the sky and having a days wages turned into artificial snow.
  12. so i thought, but it turned out not to be ,anyway thanks for comments, its still got to go to someone with more patients than me!
  13. i see what youre saying but i really want this gone, now,if someone pm's me with interest, and an offer theyll have it!!
  14. indeed frank. its all my fault too, however,if i can help someone else get into the rc flying with whats left of mine then at least some goods come out of it
