Thanks for the replies guys.
TinPot Pilot: Thanks for the link. I think trying to work from a free, old plan is a bit beyond the scope of what I wanted to achieve unfortunately. I'd prefer to build something with a full size plan which I can purchase and ideally it would have an accompanying article in an RCM&E mag.
Braddock: The Foxjet looks good! I'll look further into that one. I agree regarding building bigger aircraft. Unfortunately lack of space dictates I need to keep things fairly small . I currently live in London in a not very large flat, so space is limited. Something around 35-40" with a detachable wing is storable, though.
Richard: I was very tempted by the Chapter One and I've seen in the latest issue there's an article about the aileron wing. The only thing which was putting me off a bit was the 50" wing, which is a tad on the large size for storage and the location I want to fly. I'll keep it in mind though.
I recently had a go on an 'Ares Gamma' foamee which has a 37" wing and was about perfect in terms of performance and size, so something like this would be good.
Although odd looking, the Eager Beaver from last year looks very interesting. Span is 42" so pushing my spec but from some videos I've seen it flies amazingly well (although I'm sure a lot of that has to do with the pilot!). I'd just be concerned about the lack of dihedral although when I flew the Gamma, everything came back to me pretty quickly so I don't think a dihedral is a deal breaker.
