If so i have the answer, its the aerial. its not getting the correct reception.I connected mine to the sat dish and all was fine.In my case the channels were in the higher end. I was told the original aerial i have is no good for digital and needs replacing,by a installer but i think it just might need tweaking. At the time i got the best "anlogue" aerial and i think they work fine with digital. Its a little annoying but i will leave mine, its only in the "hobby" room to watch in the background. Would be good to see how yours turns out, iwent through all the channels to find out what was working and can not remember them now, only jewelry channel 40 odd again, check yours.in my case it always took 5-10 secs before it turns off, proberly lost or searching for freq. Its not an aerial problem If your aerial goes down then the tv will just display no signal On certain channels as you say in the high end 15 etc the tv powers off most commonly restarting after a few seconds its the software

If you are watching through a sky or freeview box, you could be suffering the same problem. My old sky box would do the same thing on certain channels, replaced the power board (can be got off ebay) and problem sorted. If you look inside, you might see that the capacitors are domed or mishaped at the top, a sure sign that they are failing and not holding the charge. The only other time I get this is with my PS3 on certain games running through a HDMI lead. Never tracked this problems down, but after a bit of reading it was talking about a confilct on the board.................I switched off at this point as I've no idea about stuff like that!! Not sure if any of that is any use, but it might cross a few things off your list. Cheers, Simon This is in fact quite true but usually its only a problem with older models le40r73 and le40r88 springs to mind also ps42q96 Edited By Les Carter on 23/08/2014 16:26:10
