At the age of 14 way back in 1970 I flew back to England from Lusaka(Zambia) on a Super VC10 of BOAC. I was lucky enough to get a cockpit tour. This memory has stayed with me and I've been a plane nut ever since I've always thougth the VC10 was one of the most beautiful airliners along with Concorde. But searching on the net there seems to be little in the way of plans or drawings. I did find a site with a Radio controlled Ilyushin IL-62 (VC10 clone)but it was only pictures. Does anyone know where I can get any plans or drawings. I've checked some intersting sites http://www.vc10.net but no luck My club mates at www.rdmfc.co.uk suggested PSS sites, but I'v had no luck. I beleive there was an article in EFI in march 1999 can anyone confirm that? I'd like to go EDF but would consider i.c. if thats a possiblity. I may have to do my own and have bought a book on model aircraft design, but its a bit heavy going, althought I think its getting through. Thanks for any help/ advice Keith

Thanks for all the advice. I've decided to use the manufactures xtal with its receiver i.e. JR with JR and Futaba with Futaba. I'll probably use Futaba with my GWS. Don't wan to risk losing my Lanc again, but this was JR with JR. Still not sure what caused it to fail, but its going to have Futaba Dual converison receiver and seperate battery for the receiver just incase my speed controller is faulty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyv3s8Qtqt0

I've just started using my new Futaba 7CAP tramsmitter. I've used a JR 652 since I started flying 5 years ago. The receiver crystals are all JR and a new Futaba cyrstal in the 7CAP. When flying this saturday my fun fly was fine close in but as soon as I went a bit furhter out if glitched all over the place and I was lucky not to crash, this had the JR receiver in. My electric twin jet with its GWS receiver was a bit glitchy but not as bad. Some club members said I should use Futabsa crystals in the receiver, others said it shouldn't matter.
