You mean like this? I used a sullivan cable for the ailerons, just a 90 degree bend at the end and it works fine with the small retainers. 1mm pianowire for the elevator, I put it inside the fuselage. Control horns are 1mm plywood simply glued to the control surfaces using medium CA. Don't forget to remove a strip of covering efore you glue them in place though.

I don't think I used full power even at take off... I was using a 7x3,5. The plan was to try a few others (7x4 and 7x6) but I forgot to bring them. Only a few bursts on full power in the video, I was afraid the motor/prop would be low on power but no problem att all. Did you measure how many watts you use in your setup? I like the plane and I had a lot of fun flying it. It feels both stable and hysterical at the same time, could do very tight turns without stalling. One thing, if you are going to land on icy snow, put some tape on the bottom of the plane to save the covering...

Fist flight in the video with the CG on the mark, felt a bit tail heavy. Second flight with the battery moved forward felt better. The small spec in the video is the plane, kind of boring video but perhaps better than nothing... First time I tried my Mobius as a hat cam, worked better than I thought. Really nice build Tom! Sorry for forgetting to answer your question in my Scamp Build. The motor I'm using is an old Hextronik 16gram outrunner with a 1700 kv connected to a cheap 10A ESC and 500mAh 2S LiPo. Good luck with your Scamp! /Tommy

Ra-ta-ta-ta-tat... Rubber band suspension on the wheel axle. And a new measurement with a fresh battery. All that is missing now is a WWI inspired pilot and calm weather. Right now the AUW is 176 grams.

With a little bit of violence, finally the receiver fit under the wing... The underside finished with two hatches for future servo service. A horn in the tail... Measured the motor with my e-logger, the battery was not fully charged and I wasn't able to fit the rpm sensor. Will try again with a fully charged battery. /Tommy Edited By Tommy Soderstrom on 21/10/2011 20:34:33
