  1. Posted by Chuck Plains on 21/02/2015 18:37:35: Defence? Yes, I blame defence for breaking my glider this afternoon. If defence hadn't been there my glider would only be in 4 pieces instead of 10!! Arf Arf ! Who has what aircraft could be a immaterial as a direct square-off between NATO and Russia could escalate into Nuclear whizz-Bangs pretty rapidly
  2. 9:00am Sunday weather looked good enough to brave the cold for the first time since Boxing day ! By the time I got to the field at 10:00am the wind had picked up enough so that once again only one battery worth of flying . No aerobatics - just some well needed stick time and keeping the Acro-Wot Foamie airborne and safe until time to come down
  3. Boxing Day : Grabbed the chance before the forecast higher winds and rain later today for a trip to the Club field and a single battery worth of Acro-Wot Foam-E flying Could not do more as I discovered for myself that the tips of fingers start getting very painful with the cold , should have tried that mitten / tx cover I got free with the RCM&E subscription !
  4. Sounds like he would need a Quad that has features such as the blade 350qx - other makes and models are available with similar features - a search for headless mode and altitude mode hold would bring up some contenders http://www.quadcopters.co.uk/blade-350-qx-v2-rtf-quadcopter-ready-to-fly-895-p.asp
  5. As Speedbird says , is this a club rule ? or just a misundertanding on someone part as its not a BMFA requirement Having passed the 'A' test in October with an Electric powered model I would'nt be too happy to have to take it again for IC! From the BMFA achievement scheme Pdf on BMFA website http://www.bmfa.org/Info/RCAchievementScheme/StandardsGuidelines/tabid/244/Default.aspx?EntryId=135 "The test can be performed with virtually any powered fixed wing model, i/c or electric"
