Went today and thought it was ok for a £12 entry fee , didn't need to leave early due to rain this year! Nearly bought something on the bring and buy but while mulling it was sold , snooze you lose ! Bought a couple of batteries from Rapid , without having to fork out for shipping they were competitive enough price Bonus was the full size appearances of a couple of Folland Gnats , took off seperately some time apart , got flybys , and one of them cam back and landed and parked close to the spectator area who got a good close look at the Gnat       Edited By Bravo Delta on 25/06/2017 18:54:03

I left around the 5:00pm mark so did not see the incident , glad to see all was well. The Gladiator seemed ok to my untrained ear on its earlier flight as far as I could tell . I missed the last hour , did the Fury and the Bearcat make it to the show ?

One of my two Dynamic 2200maH 4S has puffed up and the other has a cell that unbalances with respect to the other cells . My 4S Turnigy of the same capacity and similar age is fine

Almost finished Saw it for £3.85 at Tesco so couldn't resist , having recently read 'I was a Kamikaze' by R.Nagatsuka , the autobiography of a Japanese Suicide Pilot - obviously not one that completed his mission . I am finding Kamikaze Hunters contains some interesting information and experiences , and chronicles the seldom covered aspect of British Empire involvement in the Pacific in 1945 . If a reader is expecting to go straight into the nitty-gritty of the evocative title , then the reader would be dissapointed, as the 'action' takes place quite late into the book , but if like me you like some background and some personal experiences to hang the narrative together then its an interesting read

Interestingly the scammer identified themselves as from my specific ISP , information that can be found in a number of ways , or it was a lucky guess

First time I have had one of these The technique is to ring you and tell you they are from your ISP and that their servers have been flagging up many errors on your internet connection Your Computer will have many errors that need deleting They will give you a false account number to try and trick you into believing it is your ISP calling , knowing not many people have this number to hand They will get you to run event viewer to show you errors , then try to use delete on one of them , when you cant ( you cant this is normal ) they will say they will help you to fix it , and then try and get you to run team viewer. DANGER ! If you request an e-mail for the details, the caller will be keen to get the fixes done before the E-Mail as you won't be abe to fix it yourself 99% sure this was a scam I wondered what they would try and get me to do Passed on to a 'supervisor' as I could not understand the callers very strong offshore accent I followed the instructions to do the harmless access of the Error Viewer , but he then asked me to run team viewer -100% its a scam I am PC literate enough to know teamviewer is a remote access programme and I tell him I know what this is and am not prepared to run it so he says ok he will E mail the details ( still waiting surprise suprise ) Log on to my ISP account , my account number is not what they quoted and I report the attempted scam Funny thing , get a call 10 mins later from same original caller , think she has forgotten to cross me off the scam list , she goes through the same patter , then I ask her what my account number is - phone cuts off when I tell her it isn't my account number

These are ferrite noise suppressors , used to reduce electrical interference and clipped around cables .

I am highly confident that there will be no impact on model flying as drone deliveries just ain't gonna happen

Colin Well I am an Englishman so am expected to do these things along with mad dogs! Pit area was well shaded by a big tree and I wore a hat when venturing to the flight box

Best day of the year for flying , warm , sunny , and calm conditions With a day off today and a chance to get out to the field for an hour or two around midday I could not miss the opportunity to enjoy myself seeing the models against a blue sky ( I love that ) and also practice some aerobatics where shortcomings could't be put down to the wind !

Me and Chairman Richard are going Sunday so wont be at KMFC Hi Dave , Wasn't too muddy at the time we left the car park , one reason for leaving was of course possible churning up from cars leaving later if it rained hard . Apparently there aren't currently enough sufficiently experienced British diplomats and negotiators to get going at the moment , Radio says around a dozen and hundreds are needed . Our trade deals have been dealt with by EU for 40+ years , maybe a solution would be to bring in some consultants from counties used to doing trade deals

Went today knowing the forecast was for rain around 12:00 midday and that wasn't far wrong so did the shopping ( two props and a Lipo ! ) , and a bit of browsing before the rain started . Last year I had an ESC that had a couple of failed FET's , this produced reduced power as one of the three ' phases ' didnt' work , though the other two gave enough to spin the motor Removal of the heatshrink revealed the failed FET's

I did it once but had to wear double bicycle clips to do it and even then wasn't totally comfortable . Is this feasible and what exactly happens when a cell puffs? This is not a good idea , I would strongly advise NOT to puncture a puffing Lipo cell .

Its the first show , the reborn Clarkson Top Gear took a while to gel , am willing to give it a chance as long as Chris Evans calms down , Mat LeBlanc was ok We haven't seen any of the other presenters yet apart from Sabine Schmidtz Highlight was guest Jesse Eisenberg who lifted the show somewhat .

**LINK** Reading down the article , it appears the incident happened around the Richmond Park Area at around 1700ft "No debris has been found and Police have asked for anyone who finds drone parts in the Richmond area to come forward" "A Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokesman said it was "totally unacceptable" to fly drones - which are generally used to capture aerial film or photographs - close to airports." Richmond Park is around at least 9km from Heathrow according to google maps measuring tool So the jury is still out on what the object was , but assuming the Pilot is identifying the object correctly , and the information correct , a 'drone' flying at 1700ft on an airport approach path is certainly a cause for concern. There are comments on compulsory ' Geo Fencing ' proposal to drones and US style registration .
