Turning now to the overall table; Pos League Rank Team Manager Pts 1 1 0 Igoronic racing iqon 1832 2 2 1 Essex Racing Tony Clark 1769 3 3 1 GASTON Formula Chris McG 1738 4 4 0 Revers Racing Pete B 1625 5 5 1 Pitts Specials john stones 1563 6 6 1 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 1555 7 7 0 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 1546 8 8 1 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 1512 9 9 1 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 1468 10 10 1 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 1439 11 11 1 Torque of the devil Stu 1425 12 12 2 PSS Power Flyer 1425 13 13 0 Hans Brake Zoonie 1378 14 14 2 teewrex John Tee 1352 15 15 0 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 1296 Iqon holds on to top place, but there's a change in te next two places - Tony's win today takes him up to second overall, pushing Chris down to third. John S also moves up a place, to 5th, sending Glenn down one position to 6th. 8th and 9th are also on the move, with GrumpyGnome taking 8th, and Kev slipping to 9th. Charles and Stu also swap places, with Charles now 10th and Stu 11th. Ade and John T also swap places, but each moves 2 places - Ade up 2 to 12th, John down 2 to 14th. All other places remain unchanged. We're now into the F1 summer break, next race at the end of August is Belgium. Don't forget your predictions!
  2. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have got the pole position prediction wrong today! Wow... Where did that lap come from?
  3. Evening all... Apologies for the late reminder - I got distracted with other stuff! Hungary this weekend, before F1 takes its summer break. So, first of all; Don't forget your predictions! Ferrari have had 1st and 3rd in both P1 and P2, but with different drivers. Sainz topped P1 from Verstappen, with Leclerc third, ahead of Norris, Russell, Perez and Hamilton. It was Leclrec's turn to top P2, this time with Norris second, Sainz third, then Verstappen. The Mercedes duo could only manage 8th (Russell) and 11th (Hamilton.) Usual European times with qualifying at 3pm UK-time on Saturday and the race at 2pm on Sunday. P3 - if you want to wait before doing your predictions (or better still, adjust the predictions you've already entered) is from noon to 1pm. Good luck, everbody!
  4. Evening all! Two points back on 119 we have three people - Pete, Kev and Glenn. Well done to today's top scorers. Next, let's see how the overall leagus looks after today's race; os League Rank Team Manager Pts 1 1 0 Igoronic racing iqon 1723 2 2 0 GASTON Formula Chris McG 1633 3 3 0 Essex Racing Tony Clark 1620 4 4 0 Revers Racing Pete B 1541 5 5 1 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 1466 6 6 1 Pitts Specials john stones 1459 7 7 0 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 1406 8 8 1 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 1366 9 9 1 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 1365 10 10 0 Torque of the devil Stu 1342 11 11 1 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 1336 12 12 1 teewrex John Tee 1312 13 13 0 Hans Brake Zoonie 1305 14 14 0 PSS Power Flyer 1298 15 15 0 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 1205 No change at the top, with Iqon's win today guaranteeing he remains top. Chris stays second with Tony third. Our first place change is Glenn moving up to 5th, displacing John S to sixth. Kev moves up a place 8th, squeezing GrumpyGnome down to 9th. And our final place swap today sees Charles mving ahead of John T, leaving them 11th and 12th. Next up, next weekend, is Hungary - the last race before the summer break. Can Ferrari once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?
  5. Evening all! France this weekend, so without any further delay, the customary reminder; Don't forget your predictions! P1 was headed by Leclerc with Verstappen second and Sainz third. Russell was next with Nyck De Vries in the other Mercedes 9th. P2 saw a Ferrari 1-2 with Sainz at the top. Verstappen was third with Russell and Hamilton next. So the talk of Mercedes taking a further step forward this weekend seems to have come to nothing. So far... Don't forget, Sainz has a 10-place grid penalty for using too many replacement engine parts, and it is likely that Ferrari will replace more parts over the weekend meaning that he could start from the back of the grid. Qualifying is at 3pm UK time, with the race at 2pm on Sunday. Bonne chance à tous!
  6. I think that's what most people do initially - predict based on what they hope for. And then changing to what you think is going to happen can bring better results. Though not always! There is of course a huge amount of luck involved - though sitting at the foot of the table I would say that, wouldn't I! But I do think that in fantasygp, as in many other things, there's a very fine dividing line between genius and madness!
  7. Evening all! At the end of a rather busy day, let's see how we all scored today! And 3 points back from Pete, Chris takes third with 155 points. Well done to today's top three! Our overall table now looks like this; Pos League Rank Team Manager Pts 1 1 0 Igoronic racing iqon 1602 2 2 1 GASTON Formula Chris McG 1527 3 3 1 Essex Racing Tony Clark 1512 4 4 0 Revers Racing Pete B 1422 5 5 0 Pitts Specials john stones 1361 6 6 0 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 1347 7 7 0 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 1297 8 8 0 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 1248 9 9 0 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 1247 10 10 1 Torque of the devil Stu 1246 11 11 1 teewrex John Tee 1237 12 12 1 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 1224 13 13 1 Hans Brake Zoonie 1215 14 14 0 PSS Power Flyer 1189 15 15 0 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 1123 Obviously top place (Iqon) remains unchanged by his win today! But Chris moves up a place to second, pushing Tony down a place to third. The only other places changes today are Stu and Charles each moving up a place to 10th and 12th respectively - which means that John T and Zoonie each drop a place to 11th and 13th. The next race is in 2 weeks time at the Circuit Paul Ricard in France. Don't forget your predictions!
  8. Evening all! It's a Sprint qualifying weekend this time, in Austria. So first, the usual reminder... Don't forget your predictions! P1 saw Verstappen posting fastest time, ahead of Leclerc and Russell with Perez 4th and Hamilton 5th. The qualifying for tomorrow's sprint race saw Verstappen taking pole from Leclerc with Sainz 3rd. Perez finished Q3 in 4th place, but was later disqualifed for exceeding track limits in Q2. He will start 13th. Both Mercedes crashed in Q3, leaving Russell starting tomorrow's race in 4th (promoted from 5th) and Hamilton 9th (promoted from 10th) The Sprint race is at 3:30 pm (UK time) tomorrow, with the race at 2pm on Sunday. Good luck - and get those predictions done!

Well done to today's top 3. Looking now at the overall table, this is what we see... Only 4 players changed positions in the table today. GrumpyGnome climbs three places 8th, Stu climbs one place to 11th and Zoonie climbs one place to 12th. Heading in the opposite direction, Charles slides five places down to 13th. Next weekend it's Austria - don't forget your predictions!
  10. Chris - I think there's a fairly high chance of rain at Silverstone this afternoon, but Sunday is forecast to be dry. I'm just a little over 100 km from Silverstone, and the weather we've been having in the past few days has been very changeable and very localised. I went out for a bike ride on Thursday evening, and the forecast was showing a very low chance of rain. But on my return, getting close to home, I found the roads becoming increasingly wet, and eventually there was a little light rain, and by then there were huge pools of water on the road. Apparently I'd missed a torrential - and rather local - downpour.
  11. Evening all! Silverstone this weekend, and before anything else, the customary reminder; Don't forget your predictions! P1 started in the wet, and ended with a red flag as Stroll crashed when everybody was switching to slicks. Only Bottas and Hamilton set times on slicks and they headed the chart. P2 saw rather faster times in the dry, with Hamilton again second - this time from Sainz, with Norris third and Verstappen 4th. Have Mercedes now caught up with Ferrari and R-B? P3 is at noon (UK time) tomorrow, with qualifying and the race both at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Good luck everyone!
  12. Thanks, Chris! So, following Alonso's post-race penalty some of us have gained a few points, some have lost a few, and for some there's no change. Further down the table, 10th and 11 th places change hands, with John T's 1-place gain now becoming a 2-place gain, putting him in 10th. And GrumpyGnome's 1-place fall now becomes a 2-place fall to 11th. There are no other place changes caused by the revised result - just changes to the points-gap between players.
  13. Evening all... I'll delay clicking the "Submit" button until the Channel 4 coverage is winding-down... 14. Evening all... Another weekend, another continent, and this time we're in Canada. Or at least the race is in Canada, I'm not! So, the usual reminder - and as Montréal is 5 hours behind UK time we have a little more time to do this, but; Don't forget your predictions! P1 saw Verstappen setting fastest time ahead of Sainz, Alonso, Perez and Leclerc. Russell was next ahead of Stroll and then Hamilton. P2 has just finished and again Verstappen set fastest time, this time ahead of Leclerc and Sainz. Russell could only manage 7th, and Hamilton 13th. P3 is tomorrow at 6pm UK-time, with qualifying at 9pm. The race on Sunday is at 7pm UK-time. Bonne chance à tous!
  15. Bonsoir mes amis... Well it could be worse, my flight is "only" delayed by 2 hours - at the moment. But that's still 2 and a half hours away, so anything could still happen!
