Any Bixler 2 fliers using 2200's out there can advise? Pete Finally I have found something about it centre of gravity Bixler2   Edited By voytek k on 17/11/2014 21:55:23 Edited By voytek k on 17/11/2014 21:56:06 Edited By voytek k on 17/11/2014 21:57:32
  3. Posted by Pete B - Moderator on 17/11/2014 10:27:07: That list looks fine, although I do have a question mark about the 2200 Li-Po. Although many others fly with a 2200 pack, I've found with mine that a 1300 or 1600 provides sufficient weight for balance and climb and glide duration. Indeed, I have to set the 1600 back on the 'hump' on the floor of the cockpit to set the C of G correctly. The extra weight of the 2200 must have some adverse effect on the glide performance too. To balance that, the 2200 is a much more useful pack for future models. If you could stretch to a 1300 Li-Po as well, it will give you the option - plus you'll be able to fly whilst the first pack is recharging. Can any 2200 users comment? Pete ps No experience of the Aerofly sim... Do I need add any weight at the back to get center of gravity in right place if Ill use 2200mAh?

You also need to make sure you have a suitable charge lead from the B6 that matches the socket on your batteries. do I need power supply for this charger? **LINK** it comes with mains cable and is AC 100~240v or 12V DC input   Edited By voytek k on 17/11/2014 15:39:29

Yes **LINK** they sell them on ebay with free p&p   "If the model does not come with servos you need servos too. A servo extension lead might be needed." http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__29053__HobbyKing_Bixler_2_EPO_1500mm_w_Brushless_Motor_Servos_and_Optional_Flaps_ARF_UK_Warehouse_.html It comes with servos and 20A esc is what HB recommends for it, same as 2200mAh lipos Edited By voytek k on 17/11/2014 15:16:53

  10. Posted by Simon Chaddock on 14/11/2014 00:06:41: Do you have somewhere to fly? Yes there is a huge car park not far from me, like at least football pitch and there is a Bradgate park few miles away and I have seen some people there with power gliders. Thank you Dave for all tips Btw I live near Coalville, Leicestershire. Anyway is it safe to buy from Hobbyking from International warehouse (china ) how is it with duty tax? Anybody had to pay it?     Edited By voytek k on 14/11/2014 17:37:57
  11. Hello everyone, I have found this forum after visiting loads of websites, looking for right place to start. I know I should pop in to the local club and look around but simply i have no time for that as I work full time and study part time so there is no time to drive 20 miles to the nearest club. So the question is what to buy to start and with the budged up t0 £200. First I need an advice with transmitter(2.4GHz), is this is something good to buy Turnigy 9X 9Ch or Turnigy 9XR with orange module or should I look for second hand tx like futaba or spektum I was looking for some electric gliders like multiplex but it might be to complex for start,I am open for all suggestions ? Where I can read about rc planes (all these short forms make me confused)
