Very sad news, I've built a couple of his designs and found his plans to be straight forward and his build logs to be very helpful. He will be missed.

Hi Pedro - this is how I do it:
- go to the "RCME HOME" tab at the top of this page
- Go to the "DIGITAL ARCHIVE" at the top of that page and "LOG in"
- go to the filing cabinet icon [4th button from the left] and pick a magazine
- go to the download button [5th from the left] and pick on it
- scroll to the bottom and pick on the plan page and download it
- open the download with free Adobe Reader
- it downloads to and A4 size so to print it to an A1 size you need to print at 283%
I use the “take a snapshot” button under the “Edit/More” button to print small areas such as ribs or bulkheads. For the whole print you can tile it or take it to a printshop.

One question for now: the wings now have square leading and trailing edges. The leading edges are straight so I could glue on a drinking straw to reduce drag. Thoughts?
I'll report back over the weekend.
The Whip Power P-84 design calls for a rounded leading edge as per the last paragraph in the article:
Cut both the wing and tail surfaces from fairly soft light 1/8 balsa sheet. Sand all surfaces to a streamlined section.

I'm a Canadian digital subscriber and am totally happy with the new digital archive. It got really messed up a couple of years ago, but this latest change has made it better than it ever was. Thank you for that.

What would you suggest for a spares list besides a couple of propellers and rotor blades?

This is the Sabertooth controller in my boat. The paddlewheels can go forward, reverse, also in opposite directions and at any speed. I control it with my Spectrum Dx6 using one stick for throttle and the other stick for rudder / motor direction.

The Mtroniks Tank mixer was made for this job. I use a similar type of "Robot" controller available locally in Canada for my sidewheel paddle wheeler RC model.

John - it's in the centre of Canada, Winnipeg, Manitoba At the moment it's snowing and the winds are at 29, gusting to 38 kph. No flying today.

Cover Grip may help https://deluxematerials.co.uk/collections/emulsion-adhesives/products/cover-grip
I've used for regular covering material and the Deluxe website says it will even attach aluminium foil.

Looks like great fun, I'm going to have to start on my Baron. I've had the plans printed out for a couple of years now. I'll have to find yours and Chris's threads on building it.

The simplest way to go back and forth between list view and icon view is to click on the icons in the bottom R/H corner. Also, I just hover over any icon for a moment to see what it will do when I load a new program.

I enjoyed your 2018 log and am looking forward to this edition.
This is a link to it

I believe most of us read it through "Pocketmags" on our phones, tablets, and desktop computers

That is coming along very nice. My fuselage is about finished, but I haven't started on the wing yet so I'm following your build closely.

There are hobby shops in Canada that do mail order. In Winnipeg there is:
RC-Eliminator https://webstore.eliminator-rc.com/tools-supplies-more/building-supplies/hinges?p=2
and another big one is Great hobbies:
https://www.greathobbies.com/rcaircraft/
They both sell and ship everything you would need.
