  1. Hi Thomas Sorry for the delay in reply, family and work commitments have been heavy at this time of year but hopefully should slow down a little now, just finishing off new Italian machine install at work with one of the other major project still happening, looks like February before that will be finished off, still pushing that for an earlier finish time. I have sent details on friends mail, Please contact me on either personal mail or via forum if that did not get through. Kind Regards Allan
  2. Hi Thomas Have just read one of your post that you trained at Cosford, I just live a couple of miles down the road at Perton a housing estate built on the Perton airfield site in the seventies, Cosford has now a brilliant museum and workshop, spend many a happy hour or two there on a regular basis. Have posted you as friend and hopefully can get contact details from that. I have never run up the engine but really needs making complete as a British piece of engineering history that can be passed on, I have not retained any of my old free flight engine but this was different, it felt right to keep it as it was, hopefully hear from you soon. Regards Allan
  3. Hi Guys Found How to add Photo Regards Allan
  4. Hi guys Thanks for all the INFO. I am an engineer by trade so if any one can furbish me with dimensions of NVA I will have a go at manufacture myself, I have good availability of most of the old imperial threads, I am right in presuming needle to be at least surface hardened? Model Engine News article great, it fits in and gives me a greater incite to the information passed on to me by it's former owner. Have searched further on the web and it is looking as though it is Frog 100 1947 Mk1 engine. Can any one assist with the problem of Forum not finding any Photo albums so that I can Display photo? Regards Allan
  5. Hi Guys Thanks for the speedy response, taken photo but for some reason forum not recognising my albums. jeff2wings first photo spot on though, albeit mine is minus its mixture needle, I cannot see any markings on crank casing. I also had a 1cc with a coloured head that powered my free flight Deacon for a few years, sadly a tree suddenly jumped out in front of it and bent the crankcase about 1972 Would love to have a complete engine with mixture needle if any one can help. Regards Allan Number does look as though it has been engrave on. Engine dimensions 78mm long x 90mm in height, left hand thread with twin spigot dowel drive for prop
  6. I have an old vintage engine that I have had for 35 years, I was given it with a bundle of aircraft spares from a free flight enthusiast, I have kept it safe from decay and I am now looking for more information on the engine, serial No. 9854. I was originally told it was a 1cc diesel, can anyone help with any information, I believe it is a long stroke model
